The hottest topics in gaming right now are the Nintendo NX, and Microsoft with up-gradable consoles. Which ever topic interests you more the basis is the future of console gaming. We are all interested in what is next. How will our entertainment entertain us in the future. What if the blueprint for that future is already here?
Thanks to Call of Duty HQ, the early weapons list for Black Ops 7 has been unearthed, and it gives further evidence of wallruning returning.

"Sega's Crazy Taxi is an arcade driving classic. It introduced the concept of picking up fares in a taxi and then delivering them to a destination at a breakneck pace. A few games have been inspired by Crazy Taxi, the most interesting of which has to be the upcoming Castle Cab from new indie Australian developer Royal Reign Studios. Not only does Castle Cab take place in a fun medieval setting, it will also feature 4-player split-screen co-op," says Co-Optimus.
Yeah, it's called the PS4, it sets records, the mass market loves it. Why change a model that works like a charm? Because both of it competitors have been forced to venture out to find success other places doesn't mean the current model isn't working.
People said consoles were dead before, then the PS4 happened and proved them all wrong.
We will definitely move away from the traditional console. The signs are there. MS is already hinting at it. XO|Win10 /hardware upgrades?
Nintendo won't release an ordinary, traditional console. Be it motion, or a tablet controller.. They will come up with something only they can get away with ^_^.
Sony doing VR with the PS4. The signs are there..
Next_Gen each console will be doing all sorts. Enough to have their own distinct identities.

The traditional console model has been successful for the past 44 years, I don't see why it would change.
The computer and console market will always appeal to different markets.
Change is definitely in the air whether you like it or not. Any talk of whether it's good or bad is nothing but speculation at this point until we get more official info. I, for one, am excited to see if these changes improve gaming in the future.
Consoles are not dead and the blueprints are there.. Every generation, more improved hardware in a system.. It has been happening since gaming began and will continue happening that way for a long time.. Until everyones wifi evolves and is lightning fast globally, people will buy dedicated hardware every gen..
When wifi gets to the point where its not spotty in most regions and can handle streaming and downloading of digital software fast n smooth, it might shift. However there will always be people like me who want physical media so thats a market every company will need to keep in mind if they hope to succeed..
