The Division review: Stop comparing it to Destiny | Digital Spy

Playing The Division is a bit like having the flu - you can't get it out of your head and it doesn't ever want to let you go. But unlike the flu, you won't mind at all.

I am sad.. because I have to pay to be online just to play this, I would love to be able to just buy this game pop it in my ps4 and play single player with no nonsense.

thekhurg2973d ago

Sounds like you got the wrong game for the wrong platform then.

Its better with a crew. I wont play my game without them. Its f#cking awesome.

Sounds like this isn't the game for you then. Its an MMO. While it CAN be played solo, its most definitely meant to be played with other people. Playing solo is possible, but the missions get very tough.

Again, its meant to be a multiplayer game, and you need online for that. Its $10 a month. Very cheap. If thats too expensive then you can play online for free on PC. But again, sounds like you're looking for a single player game, and this isn't that....

The fact it has basic MMO like features like craftinhg, modding, and customizing your own space makes this game great imo. The sense of wonderimg around with your personal team or teaming up with wondering travlers is also great.

They actually put effort into this game, Real time matchmaking when your friends drop out, find new clothing materials, weapons, armor just by coming across it by chance. The sense of ransacking an apartment building with your friends and that urgency to look around for random enemy encounters inside buildings is great.

AND THEY REWARD YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS. The content at launch is exactly how a game should be, full. I still haven't been in the Darkzone yet to get better loot.

Yeah this game is way better than Destiny especially at launch they obviously saw the negative backlash from Destiny with its little content at launch, grinding extra hard for almost nothing and missing basic MMO like features.

I'd have to give this gam 8.5/10

The title alone made me want to read this article!

Deltaguy2973d ago

This game isn't a 5/5 but it's fun and does have the loot system right

Why not compare it to Destiny? They are both the same type of game.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno389d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
