Arc System Works has released the second trailer for River City Ransom SP, its upcoming 3DS remake of the original River City Ransom for NES featuring various additional event scenes, updated graphics, various new techniques and combos, new areas, and new systems.
Natsume is bringing River City: Rival Showdown, released as Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP in Japan in October 2016, to 3DS in North America and Europe, the company announced.
The beat ’em up RPG gives Kunio three days to unravel mysteries such as why Ricki’s girlfriend was kidnapped. It will feature local multiplayer.
Today’s localization announcement follows yesterday’s localization announcement of River City: Knights of Justice.
River City: Rival Showdown will be playable at the Natsume booth at E3 2017 from June 13 to 15.
River City Ransom: Knights of Justice, released as Nekketsu Mahou Monogatari via the 3DS eShop in Japan in April 2014, is coming to North America and Europe this summer, also via the 3DS eshop, publisher Natsume announced.
The game will see Kunio and his friends transformed into medieval heroes and villains, and use swords, staves, and magic to bring peace back to Riverandia.
River City Ransom: Knights of Justice will be playable at the Natsume booth at E3 2017 from June 13 to 15.
Natsume is teasing something River City Ransom-related. The publisher posted an image of question marks on Twitter, with the text, “Punch! Kick! BARF!”
“Punch! Kick! BARF!” is a River City Ransom thing. In the English version of the game, the line romanized as “Geh!,” which is supposed to symbolize someone coughing up or saying “Argh!,” was translated as “BARF!”
