DXRacer Review: A lesson in over-hype and terrible customer service - KnowTechie

If you’re reading my words, there’s a chance you’re looking for an actual accurate review of a DXRacer product and not one from a professional streamer/YouTuber or someone who’s been given a chair for free for the point writing a review. Well, as a member of the press who’s still a consumer above all else, I believe this is review you’ve been searching for.

I'm glad I took the time to read this. Makes me second guess my want to purchase one and I am going to do even MORE research into it before I decide.

Same here but I doubt Ill have the same chair issues since Im 5'8" and 160 lbs. Think the racing series is my best bet.

Check the weight rating on any chair you buy, no matter your weight.

I've seen some really cheap desk chairs that were only rated for 150lbs. Many mid range chairs are only rated for 250-300. That's not an issue for me as I've never gone over 190, but for someone like the author many chairs just won't cut it.

But in general a higher weight rating means a more durable chair, even if you aren't anywhere near the limit.

Um I had no problem with my Dxracer order they responded to all my messages over twitter and the chair came in good condition. I got one of the drift series and it definitely helped with my posture.

I have a Classic series chair and had a Racing series chair. If it making loud noises and falling down it's definitely faulty and sucks that they are handling it so poorly. I haven't needed to contact them about anything yet, hope I don't have to go through the BS. I do however have the same issue with the plastic pieces for the side, they don't go in all the way. I just kind of punched it on there to the point where it sticks and looks okay but loose if you hit it.

"The included lumbar pillow doesn’t have a strap nearly long enough to go around the chair, making it a pad that never sits in a comfortable spot and it always has to be re-adjusted when you move."

The strap doesn't go around the chair, it goes through the chair behind the pad for the back.

There's no holes to feed the straps through in that model chair, so that's an impossible task.

There's no holes, it goes around the cushion for the back. You should be able to get your fingers around each side of it and lift it out a little.

Ditch these gimmick chairs and get an office chair. They are half the price of the DX and the ergonomic styles are 10X more comfortable. $350CDN will get you lots of comfort.

DXRacer reveals their highly customizable Craft Series gaming chairs

Neil writes: "You don't need to have a gaming chair to play games, but it sure damn helps immerse you in the action that is unfolding.
