Alien Isolation Grand Mother VR is an all new virtual reality experience for Creative Assembly’s best ever horror game.
I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.
Great game, even better in VR. A little drawn out by the end, but I hope we see CA do something a little different with the sequel.
Sweet. I also rebought this game on Steam for the purpose of VR. I'll have to give it another shot w full immersive controls. I had only tried it out briefly before.
It's funny this was never officially released at retail as a VR game, bc it feels so perfect for it!

IMO, there's two that are better than all these (except maybe Beat Saber), Thrill of the Fight and AUDICA.
I think of it like Android and iOS. The two can co-exist without the need to compete directly with each other. It's better that there isn't a singular company that has a monopoly on VR especially at this early stage in VR implementation.
This ensure that there will be ongoing innovation in the tech, and the price of HMD's will gradually come down, as the various VR companies compete for market share. A variety of VR providers also means that there will be a diverse breadth of software and different VR applications from the start.
Imagine for example that only one company was making VR; lets say the HTC Vive. This would immediately exclude key markets such as the mobile market (GearVR), the console market (PSVR), and the mid-high range PC market (Occulus). It would also mean that the price of entry would be set very high by the one company, and the way VR is implemented would also be fixed. In this case the need to have the HTC Vive 'lighthouse' and the mandatory 15sqft of floor space for the tech to work.
It is much better that there are a variety of providers, and a variety of software applications, as well as a variety of ways to interact with VR.
