VG247's interviewed Gabe Newell on the following:
* How Half-Life 2: Episode 3's development is coming along.
* How Left 4 Dead will follow the Team Fortress 2 content update model.
* How Steam is planned to contain apps like Firefox.
* How Steam will utilise user bandwidth for peer-to-peer delivery.
* How Newell would still love to make a Wii game.
* Why Newell hates being told what to do by console manufacturers.
* Why buying a "bunch of ads" is not the best way to sell a game.
* How EA is the only partner Valve's ever had that paid up all the money it owed.
* How every Team Fortress 2 content update bring a sales spike of 20 percent.
* How Newell gets approached twice a week to sell Valve.
* How Newell really doesn't want to sell Valve.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
Times are changing, and these games would have never been made in today's climate.
Every single time someone uses this phrase whether it's music, movies, books, comics, video games, etc it's always the same claim.
The ubiquitous "they" won't allow it to be made. And every decade these claims are made the claimant completely ignores all the "offensive" material that is published when the claim is made.
In ten years, you can write a new article about how you can't make games like Helldivers 2, Resident Evil VIII, Mortal Kombat I, Dragon's Dogma 2, Alan Wake 2 etc etc etc any more.
Dead Island: "The early PC version of the zombie game swapped the playable character Purna’s Gender Wars skill with a prototype name, which shouldn’t be mentioned directly. The skill name made fun of both Purna as a character and feminists."
"Feminist Whore" lmao
ill add one more to the list.
drakengard 1.
its ridiculous tho, especially since they'd still be able to find their place in alot of places in the world. except america of course ha. and maybe Australia.
ppl are so sensitive these days. ha. but it is what it is.
They're not offensive.
And we need another Fat Princess. Fantastic little game!
Some people just have no sense of humour if this sort of thing offends them. They need to lighten up and stop taking themselves so seriously.
He wants to launch all his projects initially through close beta.
That guy is so fat.
I wonder when he'll admit that left 4 dead is ps3 bound. Dude its not a big deal to admit it, you'll be just making more money with more units sold. Dummy.
What does Valve have to say regarding the broken THE ORANGE BOX PS3 port? Especially TF2. Why doesn't Valve respond to the Orange Box Petition Website: http://orangeboxpetition.co...
We paid, now we patch support, just like in any other games.
If i were him, i would pull his shirt over his head and play drums on his belly. LOLZ
And then i would've asked him, why there is no patch for the Orange Box PS3. Nya, i dont care, but, its for my fellows.
This guy'd better get porting his games to PS3. I'd buy the games and forgive, I DO that.
I actually like Valve as a dev, they make good games and create innovation and when they see a good mod, they put their power behind it, instead of closing it down or letting it struggle.
I'd be honest, Valve needs to be on the PS3, not just EA ports of Valve games, don't give me this crap Source doesn't run on PS3 too well, because Source can runs on my crappy laptop that stopped being able to graphically play games since UT2K4.
I'd buy a Valve developed game for PS3, as will a lot of other people, because of the free online service. Valve could seriously unexpectedly profit from deep thought into making games for PS3.
*How much did they Pay you to be the Face and Body of PSN's 'Fat Princess'!!! ;-D
Hmm...He didn't sl*g off the PS3??? Hmm...
