the irony of that list is it is basically what PS+ started out to be. a discount service to get things for less than the non-membership user.

I have been suggesting to Sony for a while they should offer a free rental to + members and NOW they listen... when I'm no longer a member. sheesh.

Given all that's mentioned, the only thing that might be an issue is the forum and exact discounts for apps not already available in certain countries.

MS did everything they could to make XBL mandatory. Where shamed by PS+ offering games to really begin offering them as well, and only changed requirements to have it for things like Netflix because of the X1 launch/DRM debacle.

This is the difference between offering a service and trying to make you get a service. Its carrot or stick rather than stick or carrot.

I think it's being sent to selected individual's email addresses, not something you can choose to be a part of yourself.

You could always tweet the various higher ups on their Twitters, like Shuhei Yoshida, Andrew House, Shawn Layden, etc.

One of my problems with digital, such as PS titles, was always how far do they go? Like physical copies you still need that machine to play them. Obviously, in an ideal environment any PS game we buy digitally can be brought with us to future consoles. However, would licensing even allow that? It would be nice but just like consoles in the past I can still play games on my NES, SNES, Saturn, PS, PS2, GC, etc and that includes PS games on my PS3 and Vita for those which I'm able to.

Absolutely, along with psp and mini's.. Tho you cant play them all due to hacking exploits.

Ps1 capabilty is the vita's best feature imo. Like i said above, you can completely customize all the buttons as well.

I have been having a blast (no pun intended) with HellDivers and BroForce with my friends. The indy games are hit and miss & I am fine with that. It help build up my back catalog for a rainy day.
As for getting rid of the PS3 & Vita games, I am sure there are a lot of people who still own these systems (myself included) who do not want to see this go away. We still play on these systems & value the games we get from PS+.
Quit being such an entitled gamer and be happy with what you get. If you do not like it, then cancel your subscription. It is as simple as that.

But let's be honest they are mostly the same, they are mostly shooters. I want to play more than just shooters.

The PS3 has had its time, it's time to leave it in the past, and the Vita is pretty much dead.

As for calling me entitled, hypocrite much? Just because you own a PS3 still doesn't mean that others should have to suffer. I have been a Plus member since day one, the PS3 had its glory days, it's now time for the PS4 to get the same level of service the PS3 did.

Oh and I would leave, but then I wouldn't be able to play online and get full use out of the games I have bought now that multiplayer is behind a paywall.

I totally misread your post and took it completely the wrong way. I confused it with the onslaught of the entitled gamers that have been invading the message boards lately and they have been driving me nuts. I will give you an example: After it was announced that UC4 was going to be delayed for 2 weeks a commenter said "We better get the The Nathan Drake Collection as the PS Plus game for April to make up for this delay".

I would like all of those options lol. And to all the people who are complaining of not getting AAA games for free. People seem to have short memories as usual. When Sony started offering free games with Plus, there was already a huge backlog of games that they could choose from to give away for free. And most of those titles were older ones. Remember??!?!? For them to give out AAA games this soon, would probably cost a good penny. It's much easier to give out Indie games because it doesn't cost as much. This is just my take on this situation.

I'm certainly not going to sit here and complain about something over and over again that a company really doesn't even have to give me in the first place. They could just charge for the service and that's it. Like how Live was for 8 years and look how many people paid for that service with no complaints.

Lastly, I bet once some AAA games are offered they probably will be older titles that could be purchased for $20 or less. If you can't afford that then you have the wrong hobby. I like free stuff as the next person but I also try to think outside the bubble. Also, I only tend to buy very few games on launch day. As for others, I will wait until they drop in price by half or more. I do that and I have no time to play all these games. Example: I picked up Until Dawn for $20 on Black Friday and still haven't cracked it open. I don't know. I guess I have a different mindset on these things and I'm just THANKFUL that I'm getting something....Wow this went on way too long...But this is MY FEELINGS and of course everyone has there own...Rant over...lol

PS4 is over 2 years old now. PS+ doesn't have to be flooded with retail games, but people are just asking to pull back on the indies a little. They never even put their own launch titles in PS+ at this point.

not to mention, with the Horrible Xbox indie program is very tough for alot of companies, sony jumped on the opportunity to be the go to for indies to get their names out there. Remember that Sean Murray and Hello games started with Joe Danger on PS+. Games like Rocket League would not be in the position they are without Sony's PS+ option. and becuase of that, Psyonix and Sonyare so close they are pretty much having sword fights on weekends now.

we are in our 3rd year of PS4. the AAA games will come, probably this winter, maybe even previous games that have VR options as a boost for those devs.

All in all, we are still getting our moneys worth, it just that many people have a very bad idea of what indie means. including Mr_Writer85.

Indie doesn't mean 8bit or 16bit. it doesn't mean top down shooters or side scrollers. it doesn't mean pansy storylines or nostalgia induced coma rides on the wings of history. Indie is simply independent developers. NMS is indie, The Witness is indie, Fire Watch is indie, HellBlade is an indie game developed by Ninja Theory.

and lastly, alot of the indie games are what i always end up going back to. Resogun is still played on a nightly basis while i gave up on most AAA games weeks after release. Indie games have heart and soul pumped into every code. they ahve passion in making a game that will catch eyes, and keep people coming back becuase this is the game they have always wanted to make, not the game the boss tells you to make becuase last years version sold x number of copies.

indie games are limited by how the publisher wants to audience to see the game, and in some cases aren't afraid to touch delicate subject (see Hellblade and its take on Depression, Psychosis and anxienty) if we were to give up on indie games now, or even in the future. we will be forced to do pointless fetch quests for the rest of our lives.

the indie games devs are the devs making AAA games in the years to come, we need to support them in anyway we can to make sure we aren't swarmed with EA's and Vivendi's

I thoroughly enjoy my PS4, but I would really like to know what PlayStation Plus is becoming. Even if you have to give us games with mixed reception like Watch Dogs, or even preferably PS2 games, take some initiative here.

Before expanding PlayStation Plus, they need to do better with what's in place now. The discounts are great and it's doing well there. Online connectivity has been mostly good in my time using it. But there's a considerable difference in the games they're offering, and it turns out that they have funds to spare to offer discounts on other services?

Certainly, but I don't think publishers would be against that. They weren't before. Heck, they can offer $60 games that aren't even $60 anymore. I've totally got no issue with Indies, I just don't like it being the only thing on offer. Something beats nothing, absolutely and I'm grateful, but Sony is making something of a mistake: online was free on PS3 with great Plus offerings in terms of value. Now, they've scaled back offer value and charge for online. I just think they're trying to work in other incentives while neglecting what PlayStation Plus was from day one.

Let's also not forget that Sony is a publisher. They, too, can offer some games.
