A lot of these fools accusing naughty dog of stealing, when they didn't realized that naughty dog hire a former Assassin's Creed artist. He or she might have used a previous assets that was used during the Assassin's creed development. I think majority of the artist that works in the gaming industry recycle their work assets. For example; COD, Assassin's Creed, Killzone, Halo and etc.
It was probably meant as an homage.
