TIM WHITE WRITES: "Multiplayer or single player? Developers, you can do both, just not willy-nilly."
I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.
Multiplayer or even co-op
If it was always a single player game then that's how it is
It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.
I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.
If that's an indication of intent-to-purchase, then The Division is going to have very strong week one sales. I wonder what the pre-order numbers are like.
High numbers
Well... It was free was'nt it? lol ppl like free stuff.
Not to mention that theirs not a shit-ton of AAA games out this gen thats multiplatform. I havent played the game so i dont have an opinion if its good or bad. Just keep in mind that alot of games early in a generation cycle can have higher than normal sales numbers due to lack of games/competition which shouldnt be a certain indicator that the game is good.
I'm buying day one, game was awesome to play, loved it!
as much as i like clancy games, this one really was just ok for me.....ghost recon wildlands will be ubi's best clancy game in years.
i do really like rainbow six siege too,no campaign was a let down, and the dlc paks although free are a bit of a joke...1 map and 2 operators....i would rather pay and get 4 maps at a time.
the season pass is a total rip off to imo,£23 for 1 week early access to operators....glad i dont do season passes.
