All Sega has to do is tell us why they won't release the game to the west. Yes, i will be annoyed by their reasons but at least i would get closure.

SegaGamer3384d ago

That is just speculation though, it doesn't really say or prove anything.

37 gb for a beta?? Holy crap that's huge

Shrug. NA or not, I'm in the beta and eagerly awaiting 2/25. I loved pso on DC, XB and PC to some extent with blue burst... and really loved universe. If people wonder why we don't get a western release for pso2, it's because nobody bought PS universe ... there you have it.

You are all kinds of wrong why pso2 hasn't come to west. Their F2P is illegal in the states, the anime collaborations/events would not come to the U.S uneless they got the rights for NA Sega and their f2p model wouldn't work with western audience mentality.

Example being in PSO2. If you want the newest costume . You first have to spend real money on a lottery ticket. Then you have to scratch your lottery ticket. If you didn't get the costume you want since the current lottery is fill with other costumes. You would have to pay even more by another ticket until you get lucky with what costume/ item you want.

Essentially you are paying to gamble. No F2P game that has came to the west puts costumes behind lottery system. They usually may charge a premium for their costume but not lock it behind a RNG lottery system.

The sad truth is PSO2 makes tons off of cosmetics and costumes. So you could see why Sega has to think of a way re work its model for the west.

WoW is a mess and it will continue to be a mess. Still, the less-developed MMOs are going to have trouble gaining a fan base because they lack content right now. Even if people do flock to FF14 or BDO, they'll go back to WoW if they fix enough features or give players a shred of hope.

Didn't know people still played this game

Jiub1384d ago

Fewer people for certain but still a lot of people.

gleepot1384d ago

Nah, I'll keep playing the game with the millions of other people. The writing on the wall says "game is not dead" even though people have claimed it is for 15 years.

Jiub1384d ago

I'd guess that people are going to filter out but then come back for the next expac when the turmoil is over. I do worry about content delays, though.
