6 Reasons Why You Should Make Time For Quantum Break

Ellen managed to steal a second with Sam Lake and some of the other lovely folk at Remedy to give you a run down on why Quantum Break is going to be worth your time come April 5th.

Only impressive graphics on the PC version!

And since I can't cancel my preorder for the X1, I must sell it. Gonna play the free and superior version on PC :)

@mikeslemonade

How does that work, i thought the PC version was only free when bought with a digital X1 purchase of QB from the MS store?

I agree, it's a visual treat. It comfortably sits among the best of this generation.

Wow, that was really informative. Wasn't to excited for this game before but now I'm definitely on board with this.

The whole live action and gameplay working together is why I think this game is going to take GOTY hands down.

To me the live action portion is the least enticing prospect for the game. I like to pace a game to my preferences as I only have a couple hours to dig into a game every night or two, and I'd want to see all of the story content but I would rather do that at my own leisure.

If we are talking Game of the Year I'm not sure TV integration is the thing to push it there, it is "game" of the year after all. I think it could definitely be a contender but I personally think the tv portion will be considered a drawback, even if it is of the utmost quality. I understand that they have a "good/bad" choice leading into every live action portion so it would create replay value but I personally would've rather had them be seperate entities entirely.

How you play the game and the decisions you make directly affect what live action sequence is played. So the Live TV part is just as much apart of the game too.

In my opinion this is the more ambitious part of the game and design that will set it apart from other games because it's trying to do something different.

For so long we have heard "cinematic experiences", games as art, can games replace Hollywood, David Cage has been trying to do it with all of his games. QB appears to have done it successfully.

"For so long we have heard "cinematic experiences", games as art, can games replace Hollywood, David Cage has been trying to do it with all of his games. QB appears to have done it successfully."

I dunno that is kinda relative I'd say, ultimately the tv portion isn't a "game" in its purest senses, apparently there are 2 outcomes as a binary choice that will result in one of two episodes being told...from what they outlined it doesn't seem like multiple changes, just one episode or the other really. Either way we can't really say whether or not it has been done successfully until we get our hands on it. For my money as far as cinematic experiences in gaming I think that has already been achieved very successfully in multiple games. Naughty Dog's work in particular is extremely cinematic while still retaining all core gameplay. Cage may be divisive & his games have had their low points...never played Beyond but I really dug Heavy Rain even though there was a gaping plothole, but there was a litany of different choices & endings related to your actions whereas in QB's case from the last event they outlined them to be more like Infamous where you have "good/bad" choices.

Don't get me wrong, I think QB looks amazing, but I personally don't see the tv portion as being the driving force behind its potential success, and for my tastes I'd rather they drop the live action portion entirely in favor of telling all of that story spaced out in game, then if they still wanted to do a tv portion they could make that a separate thing entirely. Either way I don't see the live action portion to be nearly as exciting as the game itself.

Been looking forward to QB ever since it was announced, looks very good on X1, just want to see it running on PC as well.
One of my most anticipated games of 2016.

His/her account is one hour old, so yeah.

My gosh, I can't stand the wait! Thankfully it's drawing to a close. On a side note, I think that I'm in love with Ellen from Xbox On.
