Gamer Professionals writes: "There has been a small debate between gamers about the upcoming game, The Division, and popular FPS RPG, Destiny. The debate is that some believe The Division is coming out at a time where Destiny is dry in content, which will result is an exodus of players from Destiny due to boredom. I do see why people would choose to compare these two games; they’re both multiplayer shooter RPGs for consoles, which are quite rare in the industry. The problem with this argument though is that they’re both quite different in ways of gameplay. Basically, there are aspects of The Division that long-time Destiny fans may not enjoy. I’d like to take a closer look into why this argument simply doesn’t make sense and is unnecessary."
Destiny 2 x Star Wars collaboration is here! Get exclusive gear, cosmetics, and accessories when Heresy launches on February 4th. Don’t miss it!
The long-rumoured Destiny Mobile game from NetEase may finally be ready for reveal according to multiple leakers.
Phil Spencer talks candidly about missing out on both Destiny and Guitar Hero
So you're saying that Microsoft has missed out on so many huge gaming franchise in the last 25 years from GTA exclusivity to guitar hero and destiny it's just laughable they had so many misses
Best deal deal in gaming must be when Sony bought Insomniac for 229 million dollars. They made over 800 millions on Spiderman for the ps4 alone. Thats just crazy!
another Interview?
how is he the only one who loves the spotlight as much as he does lol
Let's not forget he also famously passed on Spider-man, Genshin Impact and GTA3.
However it's almost kind of cute how he can keep that sh1t-eating grin and say he's a 'no regrets' kind of guy, especially when you think how much just these 5 titles could have swung the world in Xbox's favour instead of Sonys.
How he's kept his job I don't know, he must sure be keeping Papa Nadella's shaft warm somehow.
"But, but Gamepass, he introduced that!!!"
Yes he did, and now look at Xbox, all it's exclusives are coming to Playstation now rendering the platform obsolete.
I'm looking forward to playing the open beta this weekend. I like Destiny but there are some serious problems with that game right now, especially with PVP. Maybe The Division may be an alternate for us; who knows.
In my opinion, Destiny and The Division are on different playing fields. The Division looks like it'll require more determination to level up, which a lot of people don't have. There'll probably be more of a grind in The Division.
I do disagree with what Destiny is all about. Yes there are raids, but TTK completely changed Destiny and you can play alone and still get some damned good loot. It's also really OCD-like. The Division, I don't even know, but I'll try the beta this week to see.
completely different games. Syfy vs Military
1st Person vs 3rd person alone is big enough of a difference. 1st person games are way more fun IMO.
All these articles are trying to make it seem like the two are interchangeable in some way. As someone who's played both I can tell you that they are most definitely not. I'm going to say it again. they're completely different games. A Destiny addict won't get his/her fix with any other game.
The division over Destiny any day, I hated Destiny every step of the way and felt conned, I really don't have this same feeling with the division.
Now stop with these comparing articles ffs, it's rite annoying and disrespect to Ubisoft the devs and the division as they have done everything rite where Activision and bungie screwed up.
