From GameWatcher: "It’s easy to see the sorts of good intentions that Ubisoft and by proxy, developer Climax Studios, might have had when the ideas for Assassin’s Creed Chronicles first started flying around the boardroom. With the core Assassin’s Creed franchise owing a transcendent debt to Jordan Mechner’s seminal Prince of Persia, crafting a trio of games that taps into the 2D dimensional shenanigans of the latter while deftly tying it into the sprawling mythology of the Assassin’s Creed franchise might have seemed a great idea, yet the execution of such a concept has thus far been consigned to sailing the seas of mediocrity to say the least."
The PS Plus Extra lineup refresh for October 2022 wasn't quite as good as it could have been for PS5 owners because of technical setbacks preventing them from accessing three of the games. They were Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India, and Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia. While Syndicate remains unplayable via the service, the 2D treks to India and Russia have now been made available on PS5 via PS Plus Extra.
This is a positive development. They might actually fix Syndicate so
1) it's playable and
2) the flickering won't give people epilepsy attacks
I'm pretty sure that I added Syndicate on the PS Store on the PS5 (through PS Plus Extra), not the web app.
Some unsuspecting person with epilepsy could easily suffer a seizure from trying to play this game on their subscription. Fingers crossed that they fix it.
Despite what Ubisoft previously suggested, all their non-compatible games are compatible with the PlayStation 5.
It seems they didn't have a real answer prepared and just wanted to under promise initially.
Fans of Assassin’s Creed will want to check out a new Build Your Own Bundle featuring ten different games from Ubisoft’s popular action-adventure franchise.
You know a game comes out too often when we’re getting BYOB (Build-your-own-bundle) deals! And this cheap? Good deal for parkour lovers! Haha!!
What Ill be doing for valhalla, wait for a sale. Ac and far cry games go really cheap pretty quick. Picked up fc5 for $5 and Odyssey for $10.
Or just wait til Ubisoft gives em out for free lol. they've practically given out all the AC games for free, as well as both Watch Dog games, and Rayman. Ubisoft is weird
