Had never even heard of this app until now. Is it some kind of text message app that you can use on your computer? There are so many apps out now, who can remember them all?

OC_MurphysLaw3396d ago

Its actually a really good messaging app. The community I run with has gamers in US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. All of can communicate via what's app with no additional long distance charges or texting charges. We coordinate game nights regularly with it.

kennyg37393396d ago

nobody is trying to remember them all, this is very popular app and now its available on the Xbox which is nice for people who used the app.

XanderZane3395d ago

I had never heard of it. There are millions of apps, so yes, it can be hard remembering them all. Don't understand the disagrees, when what I've said is a fact. I'm glad it's available on the XBox. Now I get to try it out and see what it's about.

RaTaTaT3396d ago

My clan uses this app. It will be great to use it right on the xbox

Christopher3396d ago

Anyone used this and know if you can have the app on your phone and on XBO and use the same groups with the same number? That's my one issue with Whatsapp, it doesn't work across multiple devices. At least not the last time I've tried it.

Whats app is amazing for mobile devices, not sure how practical it can be for home console, but cool

Baldur’s Gate 3 Is The Kind Of Game That Makes Me Wish I Could Play One Thing At A Time

I respect people who can dig deep on one game, and only one game, but I can't do it.

I used to play multiple games at a time but because of the time constraints I have I don’t have a choice but to play one game at a time or I’ll end up with some unfinished games. I like to get platinums for the games I enjoy the most so it can take me a long time to get to the next game.

It definitely takes some will power as I always have a stack of games I want to play at all times. But most of the games I play are really good and I am fully immersed when I’m playing a single game at a time.

raWfodog11h ago(Edited 11h ago)

Same here. I’ll focus on a game that I really enjoy and get the most out of it before moving onto the next title. That is why I have a massive backlog of games now.

Armaggedon1d 4h ago (Edited 1d 4h ago )

Same for me. I play so many games, currently playing oblivion, expedition, blades of fire, bg3 with friends , avowed, and Nioh 2. After learning more about myself and gaining mastery, I have developed an ability to get fulfillment from a game without needing to “complete” it. Unless of course, a game hooks me for the story, in which case I have to complete it to see what happens. I have discovered that in terms of gameplay, one can get most if not all of the expected experience in about 25% of progress through play.

Ninver19h ago

Sounds like renting is the best way to go in your case. No point in buying games you won't complete.

Armaggedon17h ago(Edited 16h ago)

It depends on what one deems as “complete.” For some, it is completing the story, and for others it is completing all tasks and objectives. Usually when this happens, people will feel “that was fun, whats next.” There is always a whats next. Cant think of anyone that has consumed media and thought “I am completely satisfied and will not need to play or watch another. I have simply mastered this “hunger” if you will. I am able to get so far in a game and then move to another without needing to reach a certain requirement. A benefit of this is that I do not get bored, as that game I didn’t beat still has mystries to unravel and new things I haven’t done.

Incel outrage is one of the reasons gamers aren't taken seriously.

jambola1d 12h ago

so you're pro censorship and insult anyone who disagrees
gotcha

Flewid6381d 6h ago

Imagine not knowing that you can express discontent without raging like an incel

REDDURT1d 2h ago

Everyone is a incel who won’t fall inline.

gold_drake20h ago

no i think censoring a 18+ game is incredibly stupid.

im an adult and dont need to be coddled

CrimsonWing6920h ago

So when something gets censored, people just aren’t supposed to say anything?

We can praise a game’s violence, crude humor, or edgy writing all day, but the moment someone says a design is hot or pushes back on censorship in an M-rated game, it’s suddenly “incel outrage”?

Give me a break. If you’re posting on a gaming news site, you’re already in the same boat — you’re not above the rest of the community just because you’re uncomfortable with fanservice.

Criticizing censorship isn’t incel behavior — it’s called being a fan with standards.

jambola8h ago

you can complain if it's violence, but not skin, especially on a female character
and as we all know, small things never grow into bigger problems

MDTunkown15h ago

You know first remaster sales wasn’t great so introducing new censorship to an ancient game that would piss fans isn’t a good strategy.

guess i'll wait for a sale
can't bring myself to support censorship this much

jznrpg1d 8h ago

It’s not much of a change but totally unnecessary to be changed in the first place.

hot4play1d 3h ago

I’m still holding out for a physical release on PS5 or Switch. Has Capcom confirmed whether a disc version is still in the works?

DarXyde1d 1h ago

How is it censorship if Capcom is the one that made the change of their own volition? I could understand if they did it because they were told to, but that doesn't seem to be the case. At this point, it's a creative change.

You could make the argument that Oyu's costume was only more revealing because they wanted to appeal to horny teens at the time and this is what they would prefer to do.

We don't really know, but it was Capcom's decision, so why is this a big deal?

Rebel_Scum1d 1h ago (Edited 1d 1h ago )

Its isnt censorship. There’s just a weird crowd of internet folk who cry about these sorts of changes.

At the end of the day they are the creators. They can change their art whenever and however they see fit. Happens in every artistic medium.

MDTunkown16h ago

The game is over 20 year old and remaster wasn’t made by og developers even Capcom CEO was someone else back then. So they took an old game from another period and made changes not to offend modern gamers.
But if you buying a remaster you just want higher definition and frame rate and having same experience as the game originally launched.

DarXyde1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

"So they took an old game from another period and made changes not to offend modern gamers."

So your criticism is that it's modernized? Modernization of gaming takes many forms. Even MGS3∆ has made modernizations. I don't know how old you are, but, believe it or not, people who were young-ish when these games came out are not the target audience of these remakes and remasters. Games get modernized for a modern target audience. Just as some mechanics are dated, so too are some themes. I think you unintentionally described it best: the game is modernized (i.e., made for the modern target demographic). It's not all about us.

"But if you buying a remaster you just want higher definition and frame rate and having same experience as the game originally launched."

This makes zero sense. So based on your argument here, higher definition and frame rate would not change the experience... But an undershirt on a supporting character does? What are you even saying?

jambola8h ago

yeah
it they remove half the game and make you pay a subscription
who cares right? no big deal? capcoms decision?

you can split hairs if you wants, different name, same result
self censorship if anythign

DarXyde1h ago

You would say that, as you come in with this straw man argument?

They're not removing half the game. They're not making you pay a subscription. They covered up a pair of tatas.

That's it. That's literally it. In no world is your silly comparison even remotely the same thing or indicative of a slippery slope.
