DOOM Won't Feature Microtransactions

Doom won't feature microtransactions according to Bethesda's Pete Hines

Yukes3423d ago

Indeed, although I can't fathom how they could be crammed in, even if they wanted to! Guess that's why I don't work for EA or Ubisoft.

Hold_It3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

Why would it? It's not published by Activision or EA or Ubisoft.

Double_O_Revan3423d ago

While I agree that I never expected microtransactions, I think it's sad that we've gotten to a point where having 'no microtransactions' has become an announcement.

@azshorty

Yeahhhh, it is pretty bad isn't it?

ravinash3423d ago

But good for them to say it now.
Hopefully others will take note.

I really wish Feb, March and April would just **** off, can't wait to play this.

mike32UK3423d ago

And miss out on Unravel, Firewatch, Dying Light: The Following, Hitman, The Division, Quantum Break and Uncharted 4?! Are you mad sir?

Dark_Crow3423d ago

Just played unravel through ea access.
In my opinion it's nothing special.

The game shoots for emotional but doesn't seem to get it.

The levels consist purely of little puzzles to get to the next area.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil41d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

__y2jb41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Gamingsince1981130d ago

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that
