GR:
Generally, I try not to write while I am in a state where I must imbibe cough syrup to feel whole. No, I am not a DXM junkie destroying my liver with over-the-counter Robitussin to stave off the depressive nihilistic sense that all is nothing and human endeavor will amount to naught when viewed at scale with the universe at large. I rather like the universe; it's big and pretty. Though when my cold reached its apex last week, my fever dreams might as well have been a bad trip caused by some mix of cobbled together cocktail of do-not-mix medications. In any case, if I am given to some digressions, please forgive me.
'Strike Vector EX' comes out on the PS4 and is pure spacey, shooty fun.
Movies Games and Tech writes: When I first caught the trailer for Strike Vector EX for Playstation 4, I was immediately grabbed by its fast paced action set to a pounding hard rock soundtrack. It showcased fast aerial dog fighting in futuristic ships with battles in space to large constructs in the air. It was demonstrating all the aspects of classic arcade shooter action that I cherished in old school games such as Space Harrier and Ace Combat and it got my attention.
COG writes "Strike Vector EX is an old fashioned arcade shooter loaded with explosions and fast-paced aerial combat like something right out of a George Lucas film."
Had the missions, themselves, actually been decent, the lack of a good story wouldn't have been able to hold the game back.
