Definitely some exciting stuff going on with this recently released beta and I’m happy to see that stuff that was complained about or simply was broken in the previous alpha has been addressed. If you haven’t checked out the beta yet, either you have no interested or haven’t had time yet, let me break it down.

TIM WHITE WRITES: "Multiplayer or single player? Developers, you can do both, just not willy-nilly."
I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.
Multiplayer or even co-op
If it was always a single player game then that's how it is
It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.
I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.
I agree with most points here.
I loved the beta and most of my complaints are simply what was locked (as it is a beta). I played the Hospital Mission several times through matchmaking on Hard (2-4 players but mostly 4 later on) and had fun but I want more already--both more Missions and enemy variety. Crafting mostly bothered me as I'd find blueprints but couldn't see them (such a tease).
I had fun trying to solo in DZ though killing ai enemies and helping a few people as I went (either against ai or players--never started any fights but got killed or helped kill a few Rogues). Solo wise it will take a while to get DZ cash but it's not terrible (bought a blue carbine for over 1k and had hundreds left--not bad for a few hours play in the dz on my own). Player kills actually give more cash though I think (and deaths lose a sizable chunk). Leveling up DZ didn't seem too bad either as was DZ 10 Saturday night.
DZ levels fast to compensate losing experience/rank if you die too often. I was able to solo most of the beta ai camps relatively easily "most" of the time if I was smart about it. Some are pretty chancy though if you don't use environment well and pick off a few to lower enemy count asap (the few camps with 7+ as smaller camps are much easier to pick people off). I can see me running DZ solo now and again and start an evacuation then run to another as pvp players jump tail to it and I get to more safely use another. The evacuation zones can suck as it has the 1.5 minute prep time and a long timer when placing loot (if you can't kill a guy before they do it you basically suck). It's going to be really annoying when the first guy finishes then drops explosive like what happened to me once. Him and his buddies were all friendly till they were done and then clustered the dropzone and stole everything from several people.
