TIM WHITE WRITES: "Multiplayer or single player? Developers, you can do both, just not willy-nilly."
I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.
Multiplayer or even co-op
If it was always a single player game then that's how it is
It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.
I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.
Ive sunk a good 12 hours into the beta. Only issue I found was my character became invisible to everyone else for a good 10 minutes. Helped rack up some DZ points haha
Ya they need to fix the MP glitches/(hacks?) or this game will fail before it even gets off the ground. Also, there are so many bugs. This game feels like it still needs 6+ months of development which really worries me since in launching in like 5 weeks.
Why am I not surprised !
Console isn't having any of these glitches or bugs. We all know pc is wide open to the usual mmorpg abuse that hits near enough every mmo title, but that abuse usually never makes it to console. Console players just don't have all that options open to them that allow them to use glitches, cheats and pc on near enough every mmo has had this pain in the ads for some decades now.. it's gamers them selfs that are to blame though if they just wernt so bent on gaining advantages to try and make them selfs look good then it all wouldn't be as much as issue as what it has been on so many games. This is the reason why for the time being Ubisoft won't put out no auction house or trade system because the abuse would start big time, most of you simply can not be trusted to do the rite thing when needed..
See there is many advantages to having consoles over pc, pc mite have a lot better performance but I would much rather spend a few hundred on a console, not have no cheater s in sight and have games properly optimized for what I'm playing without as many bugs and glitches.
The division on Xbox one has ran wonderfully in alpha and beta stage, can not wait. Ubisoft how ever will sort the pc side of it all out by release so not to worry really, the game is amazing to have been loving it like I knew I would..
However the title of this thread is misleading as it makes it look as though it's across the board on all platforms and its not it's just for pc..
Thoes invisible players were annoying, i was taking cover didn't know why my health was taking hit out of nowhere.
