The Division’s Beta is So Popular, Ubisoft Can No Longer Guarantee Access

Have you not received your The Division beta codes yet? We have some bad news to break to you — Ubisoft can no longer gurantee access, even to those who pre-ordered the game. In a recent entry on the UbiBlog, Ubisoft said that “unprecedented demand for access to The Division Closed Beta” is going to lock people out.

I must say I am enjoying the beta a lot.

Black0ut3432d ago

The game feels really polished IMO. Can't wait for the March full release.

ubisoft mishandling something? I am shocked!

It's currently #1 on Amazon for Xbox One and then followed by the PC version and then the PS4 version, this game is going to sell huge and will be popular as people move away from Destiny

nX3432d ago

People just preorder it on Amazon because it's easy to cancel it again. I did it as well but I definitely won't buy another Ubisoft game on launch day.

YinYangGaming3432d ago

Regardless the fact it's number 1 is a good way at least of gauging how much interest there is in the game

-Foxtrot3432d ago

Probably people want to try it so they don't have to spend money on it at launch to try it out.

Mr-Dude3432d ago

I am happy i tried it, i didn't like it. Empty world, bland, no interaction, pvp is fun but not for a hour or longer at least for me, graphics are a let down. Maybe i will buy it next year when it's complete. But fun for the people who will enjoy it

-Foxtrot3432d ago

See...and all that money you have saved will go to another game

You win.

Khaotic3432d ago (Edited 3432d ago )

Oh my a beta that lacks content. Its a stripped down demo to stress test servers. How long have you been gaming and have you ever participated in an alpha or beta. And graphics are really good. Honestly i dont think youve played it and are just trolling

-Foxtrot3432d ago (Edited 3432d ago )

@Khaotic

Battlefront lacked content in the beta and the game was actually like that...same goes for Destiny.

It's these types of games, online focused that's what they are like

Khaotic3432d ago (Edited 3432d ago )

@foxtrot and I like millions enjoyed Destiny. Content can be subjective especially if it has replayabiliity. Battlefront ill give you, but destiny had 100+ hours of content at release between nightfalls, raid, heroics, exotic bounties and crucible. If i get a 100 hours out of a game i got my moneys worth. I ran vog 30 times and i had fun. People fall into marketing hype and then feel screwed over. Just enjoys thing for what they are, leave expectations behind and gaming and life will be alot happier.
The division will give me 100 hours or better of content. Between the crafting, story and darkzone. Im in day 1, last game i bought full price was fallout 4 and now ill get this one

Mr-Dude3432d ago (Edited 3432d ago )

@khaotic
Dude, i am nearly 32 and i am from the amiga days ( with my dad) so i game long enough...

I am not trolling, the graphics are not that good. If you like it, wel good for you. I for one found it a let down. The content was meager, for a beta, i get it. But! The world itself is bland dude, there is no interaction with the openworld. This is just another destiny. If you and other players are happy with this, well have fun. But me and my friends saw it right away. We will wait till this game is complete

I read you liked destiny, well then you will like this also. But there are also people who don't like low content games

:-)

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183807d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot806d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno806d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic806d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman806d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon806d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
