hang on, let me sell my soul for a new PC!

decrypt3433d ago (Edited 3433d ago )

Not needed.

Get the range of PC you can afford. Play on Medium settings for now if needed. It would still hold up very well compared to console performance and cost wise.

Later in time maybe 4,5 years whenever you do upgrade you will have yourself a free HD remake. Just how PC gaming works.

I am currently playing all my old games like Left4dead, TF2, CS Go, Dota 2 in 5k. Most new games manage to run in 5k on my setup too. So yea PC gaming later on in the future literally all your games become Free HD remakes.

N4Geeing3433d ago

Yes it's pretty,, let me guess..it's running on a 700 dollars or more pc?.. well.. it better looks good, it better..

SgtSlaughter2123433d ago

Sorry but this game looks horrific. Buy it for the game play. Not the graphics.

masterfox3433d ago

lol the gameplay is horrific too, played the beta few hours ago couldn't stand emptiness of the city, is delete it now :D

N4Geeing3433d ago

Can you go into detail why you didn't like it?

masterfox3433d ago

@N4Geeing

When you enter the city and start exploration at first you go wow damn this very wide world and kinda looks nice(I will say something about this later), but then I start the exploration(me I like to explore alot), so I start walking, walking, walking, when to alot of places and no loot or encounters, so I start walking again, oh look! yeah!! and encounter with the enemy! killed them instantly, also this are human enemys shouldn't a shoot to head should kill them instantly ?, I mean some they weren't using even a helmet. So then again I start walking, running, walking looking for loot no luck, encounter a few pedestrians, help one with a med kit, oh look a rat killed the rat and gave me some XP lol, oh another encounter! no challenge whatsoever, well going back to walking, climb a ladder more walking, in the roof walking, not joking I spend like the 30 minutes without finding anything, then yes a mission or something! activate antenna!! yay kill some enemys again, oh look another antenna lol activated yay.

So after 50 minutes I started to get pretty damn annoyed, I start nitpicking the environment, the textures of the objects of the city look average as hell, desolated effect for a lonely city fails miserably here you look around and the environment looks static, have you ever played the Witcher III ? one of the most dinamic open world environment ever create simply stunning. So back to the Division so I went to sewers and for my surprise one of the areas look damn impressive, dark, some mist, good lighning in general, ok so I got impressed here a bit, but then again the walking and runnning start again, dindn't find a damn thing!! so I start some jumping jacks lol, this last thing mark the end for me in the Division, boring and meaningless.

I know this is a "beta" but I guarantee you it won't make a huge change when the full thing comes out.

Aenea3433d ago

Hmmm, within the first 20 minutes my map was full of markers with side quests and encounters...

Maybe they expect you to walk into a certain direction for a bit in the beta to trigger something?

Spoonsx3433d ago (Edited 3433d ago )

@MasterFox At the start you should have done the quest right across from the base of operations. It would have opened up a ton of stuff for you.

I think your main beef was stated though why you was biased going into the game in the first place. You want this to be a typical shooter where you one tap someone in the head to kill them. It has been stated for a long time that this is not the case. Which most people have come to terms with, but some not so much I guess.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot807d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno807d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic807d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman807d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon807d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
