The current generation of Sony and Microsoft consoles have experienced extremely successful starts since they were released onto the market back in 2013.
Who didn't see that coming...
It does make sense. It's the holiday season, both are starting to hit their stride when it comes to game releases, and most importantly more gamers are finally in a better position to make the jump to the current generation of gaming consoles. IMO I still don't think either have reached their peak when it comes to the highest volume of consoles being sold in a specific time period! So I don't think it's a stretch to say that they'll beat these figures easily when they release slim models in the future. All in all, it's definitely a good time to be a gamer or, to become a gamer. Because the way it's looking console gaming doesn't look to be taking a hiatus anytime soon.
Last month was the strongest sales month for the PlayStation and Xbox brands
great news for gaming industry. now only if the producers and devs stop milking the franchise, give us fresh IPs... tired of those yearly updated games. but that would be a wishful thinking.
