The release date for Uncharted 4 is closing in, but the game still has some bugs that need to be addressed before shipment.
As long as it ships with a smooth aiming then I'm fine. That's one of the problems I had with uncharted 3 in the beginning of release. The aiming was "floaty" which they later patched
Did you play the UC4 beta?
I did and I also played the beta in Uncharted 3 which had no problem. But when they shipped the game the SP aiming was off in the beginning. There was somewhat of a lag on it. Made it difficult to play for the most part. https://youtu.be/K5-9oV9cXw...
Hopefully they won't repeat the same mistake.
I have my fingers crossed. They really miss a mark with Uncharted 3 so hopefully this being the final one they're able to knock it out of the park like they did back with Among Thieves. But seeing how the game has been delayed I'm trying to be more optimistic about the outcome. Uncharted 3 should've been delayed but you can see how they wanted to make that 11.1.11 release date. They learned from it and rather do things right with extra time this time around.
I'm sure they will. The beta was really good, in my opinion. Delaying the game (extra dev time) will most definetly help ND deliver a better product.
The "floaty" was part of the game play, to make it more intense. Same was used for The Last of Us. It's to show the characters was not military trained,
I'm not buying that. Why would you ship your game with 240ms of input lag to emphasize a character's lack of military skill? Sounds silly. If you want to emphasize the fact that a character lacks military training, you increase weapon sway, not input lag.
Not really news worthy. Every game will have bugs before and after release. Games are so complex it's impossible to fix them all. They just have to make sure to fix the major ones before release.
I would trust Naughty Dog's track record for testing a lot more than say... Bethesda's. (Buggiest games that I ever loved.) Still, glad they're doing their due diligence and can't wait for the release.
right acceptable to have games with bugs. Very acceptable indeed.
No its not but bugs before release is definitely acceptable. As long as they fix them.
Like 99.9% of games that are still a few months away from release. I am sure the Division still has TONS of bugs to work through and that game releases in less than 6 weeks.
ubisoft be like fixin bugs??lol fuck off just patch em later
seems to be the general consensus nowadays. How many games have day 1 patches? pretty much all of them.
@Neonridr Yeah but compared to ubisoft, most other day 1 patches are to stable the game on the system they are being ported to or made on
Although rayman and child of light were flawless day 1... Maybe they should stick to 2d games. ;)
But with Ubisoft we know 9 times out of 10 those bugs still remain in a bltant way, its funny you would use a Ubisoft game as an example lol
Yeah just like every other game coming out in the future. You act like this never happens.
No need to worry about the bugs they say they're fixing. It's when a dev goes quiet about what's happening in a game that signals trouble!
Naughty Dog IMO is a class ahead of Bethesda in quality of games made. I've never liked Fallout/Elder Scrolls after the Skyrim fiasco on PS3. It's absurd that "well bugs are normal because they make a game like no one else" is an ok excuse for them at times. I expect a near perfect gameplay experience from ND and UC4. ND has been very open about the dev/delays of this game.
dragonddark people give bethesda free pass because the so called games are fun to play. i didn't know that we could only choose one and not the complete package
Um am I the only one who is aware the Bethesda was primarily a pc developer? We eat and handle bugs for breakfast. I'd llike to see other devs create games with skyrim, morrowind, fallout commplexity and keep it bug free.
Slow traffic on this site apparently. WTF and No this garbage.
I hope the Ai is better than that in The Last of us
The Enemy AI was fantastic in TLoU. I could care less about the friendly.
The AI actually wasn't that great and before you think I'm talking trash, I actually love TLoU (play the online just about every day, around week 500 and ranked 600 globaly). I beat Normal three times, hard twice, survivor twice, and grounded twice and Platinumed it. The AI was pretty much retarded, especially compared to the E3 demo. The only thing that made it better was playing on the harder difficulties i.e. Survivor and Grounded. I noticed barely any difference between Normal and Hard.
Yes. Once you realized ai patterns...which I did really quickly they were all a joke. Just freakin run around in circles and never fire a gun the entire game. Hahaha. Such an easy game. Esppecially those pathetic clickers. Who needs ammo when you got an endless supply of bricks and bottles?
Don't recall what hard mode was like, but I have cleared Grounded a few times. The AI was rather formidable if you ask me.
What's the point? There will still be a huge day one patch of several gigabytes. Not to pick on this game, but it's an annoying trend.
I doubt it will be several gigabytes.
Like EVERY game has before release...
... and after release.
ye its shocking news .... what will be next? Uncharted 4 requires DS4??? HOLY
So in a couple months I'll hear this game has gone Gold? I can only hope, I'm getting ready to finish Uncharted 3 too. I hope its multiplayer stuff there referring to, I can deal with them fixing that after release cause I'm probably not going to get into it that much. If anyone buys Naughty Dog games for there mp, I guess were just two different types of gamers. LOL
another delay incoming
OMG once the media finds out, this is the end of naughty dog and possibly the uncharted franchises well!
Man, I sure hope this won't cause another delay. Had this game preorder since last August. My heart can't take another delay.
Bug testing is a strong indication that the game is essentially finished. I'm pretty confident there will be no more delays.
What!?! A game that hasn't been released yet has bugs!?! Well that is unusual. /s.
This game got delayed enough & i hope it wasnt to focus on the MP aspect.. I expect a great SP experience from this game.. MP is and always will be secondary for me so have that be buggy, not the campaign
So what about everyoine who does enjoy the MP...I don't but Im sure others do.
Maybe they do but its secondary like i said.. It can be ironed out later
BEFORE shipment? Wow, crazy stuff!!!
Uncharted 4 will be goty 2016
Still-in-development game has some bugs? In other news: water is wet
Wow! I'm thinking that this developer may be looking for a job soon for talking out of turn. Pretty sure Naughty Dog wouldn't approve of this tweet. That said, I'm sure the game will release on time and be great.
I can wait,do it right ND. I got such a backlog of games to complete that would keep me busy into late 2017 anyway,......Pretty weird for a system with no games. ND says after they finish with UC they are starting right away on their next game (TLOU2) no doubt( maybe a E3 teaser?) and then will have time for one final game to fill out the PS4's life cycle. I wonder if UC is going to have VR in any form. I bet Sony is pleading with them to do something for PSVR,that could be why UC was delayed the second time.
Is this out of the ordinary?
Ubisoft: So, what? Don't delay for God's sake. You will just lose millions of cash. Instead, take this as a suggestion. Sell the game and fix it by providing regular updates. Your hatred over it will make you more powerful, and plausible to become one with the dark side of the Force. Warner Bros: Just sell the game appropriately and make hundreds of worthless dlcs, and all of you will become the next generation of Bill Gates. See how we made Batman Arkham Knight. The Sith will rule the game world once more........... CD Project Red: Don't give it into hatred. This leads to the dark side. Patience, you must embrace it and delay and release after being fixed. The Jedi are becoming extinct. We are now, the official survival of peoples' hope. You could be too, if you bear patience and delay for fixing it.
They need to widen their horizons, the next TLOU should be an open world game. And don't tell me a open world game cant have an emotional narrative like ND are famous for, just look at RDR.
Yeah Uncharted 3's aiming was crappy untill they added a patch to fix it and make it more like Uncharted 2. The patch doesn't seem to be in the Uncharted collection's version of Uncharted 3
That's because they already included the patch in some form by fixing the aiming to be more in line w/ UC2...they did the same across all 3 games for continuity purposes. The aiming was definitely off in the original release of 3 but I feel like the Collection's aiming is just right across the board. Really wish we'd get a proper sp demo for UC4 so we could test everything out prior to release (although I'm a day one buyer either way)...the beta was a great indicator of solid mechanics, but I just wanna see that glorious campaign in motion...the wait is killing me
Yep... That's why they delayed it 5 months...
I am NOT worried about these bugs ! I trust Naughty Dog and know they will exterminate all of these bugs before launch. Naughty Dog isn't like these other half ass gaming companies, they don't push out screwed up games just for the money. To them their rep is far more important then is the money. UC4 will arrive on time and be awesome !
