Uncharted 4 Still Has Some Bugs To Fix Before Shipment

The release date for Uncharted 4 is closing in, but the game still has some bugs that need to be addressed before shipment.

As long as it ships with a smooth aiming then I'm fine. That's one of the problems I had with uncharted 3 in the beginning of release. The aiming was "floaty" which they later patched

Thatguy-3103023d ago (Edited 3023d ago )

I did and I also played the beta in Uncharted 3 which had no problem. But when they shipped the game the SP aiming was off in the beginning. There was somewhat of a lag on it. Made it difficult to play for the most part. https://youtu.be/K5-9oV9cXw...

Hopefully they won't repeat the same mistake.

Thatguy-3103023d ago

I have my fingers crossed. They really miss a mark with Uncharted 3 so hopefully this being the final one they're able to knock it out of the park like they did back with Among Thieves. But seeing how the game has been delayed I'm trying to be more optimistic about the outcome. Uncharted 3 should've been delayed but you can see how they wanted to make that 11.1.11 release date. They learned from it and rather do things right with extra time this time around.

I'm sure they will. The beta was really good, in my opinion.

Delaying the game (extra dev time) will most definetly help ND deliver a better product.

The "floaty" was part of the game play, to make it more intense. Same was used for The Last of Us.

It's to show the characters was not military trained,

jc123023d ago (Edited 3023d ago )

I'm not buying that. Why would you ship your game with 240ms of input lag to emphasize a character's lack of military skill?

Sounds silly.

If you want to emphasize the fact that a character lacks military training, you increase weapon sway, not input lag.

Not really news worthy. Every game will have bugs before and after release. Games are so complex it's impossible to fix them all. They just have to make sure to fix the major ones before release.

LordMaim3023d ago

I would trust Naughty Dog's track record for testing a lot more than say... Bethesda's. (Buggiest games that I ever loved.) Still, glad they're doing their due diligence and can't wait for the release.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3023d ago

right acceptable to have games with bugs. Very acceptable indeed.

DragonDDark3023d ago

No its not but bugs before release is definitely acceptable. As long as they fix them.

Neonridr3024d ago

Like 99.9% of games that are still a few months away from release.

I am sure the Division still has TONS of bugs to work through and that game releases in less than 6 weeks.

DonkeyDoner3024d ago

ubisoft be like
fixin bugs??lol fuck off just patch em later

Neonridr3024d ago

seems to be the general consensus nowadays. How many games have day 1 patches? pretty much all of them.

GameDev13024d ago

@Neonridr

Yeah but compared to ubisoft, most other day 1 patches are to stable the game on the system they are being ported to or made on

mockzer03023d ago

Although rayman and child of light were flawless day 1... Maybe they should stick to 2d games. ;)

Wallstreet373023d ago

But with Ubisoft we know 9 times out of 10 those bugs still remain in a bltant way, its funny you would use a Ubisoft game as an example lol

Relientk773023d ago

Yeah just like every other game coming out in the future. You act like this never happens.

I really enjoyed Good Job game...too bad that they are closing

Considering the level of games they made, I'm surprised that more than 2 people worked there. 45 people (+ outsourcing) making mediocre mobile games, like cut the rope. I mean dude....Nintendo stooped to new lows in quality development and entertainment standards.
