AMD have officially launched GPUOpen, AMD's answer to Nvidia GameWorks. Can Open Source Slay GameWorks.
And ofc it's open source unlike Nvidia's gimpworks
actuary you can apply to have access to everything in gameworks, although that's not technically open source they pretty much let anyone have access who is making a game, game design student or be able to add your own reason why you would like to use it.
That just means it has a general use license. Open source means anyone can view or modify the source code to suit their needs. Big difference. There's likely a reason why the GameWorks libraries are black boxes, and it most likely comes down to their idea of "optimization".
