TMA - Necronomicon Review

TMA - It seems my recent cry for more CCG games on the iDevice in the introduction to the review of Riese has not gone unnoticed. Lucidsphere Media recently released Necronomicon – an original single-player game with a mix of CCG and board game elements, inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and the dreaded Cthulhu. Though the meme of calling upon its name that has swept over the internet a few years ago has passed, the universe created by the famous author is still one of the most recognizable of any horror setting out there.

Necronomicon review for PC at Video Game Cowboys

VGC writes, "Designers have been cannibalizing bits and pieces from the mythos built by H.P. Lovecraft for years now. The results in the video gaming world, to be polite, have almost always been sub-par in their offerings. Either the story is decent but the atmosphere isn’t very good, or the game drips with atmosphere but completely falls flat in execution. Wanadoo Edition, a French development house, decided it was time to try their hand and in 2001 they brought us “Necronomicon.”"
