How does Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter blend together? Let's find out!
Sounds like MH is still sitting pretty at the top then
I think expecting FFE to decrown MH is a bad idea. Its real challengers are God Eater and Toukiden.
Yea lots of 6/10 & 7/10 scores which IMO still means a game is playable and enjoyable, but those scores indicate there will be some annoyances along the way as well.
why is everyone comparing it to monster hunter? holy hell, mh has had generations of adapting and evolving with each edition to the series building up to where it is now - plus they've had the same studio so there's heaps of experience to fall back on. this game just came out, first of it's kind from this developer... l hope this game has bits of crystal chronicles which was amazing on the gamecube. Why are all the reviews just saying 'well..it's not mh'? l've liked what l've seen so far
Because it's a story-lite ARPG with a multiplayer focus. Could you really not figure that out yourself?
you don't read much do you? l know what genre it's in, l also understand all entres into a genre don't have be complete clones to hold their own weight. Toukiden is amazing and still got the 'well it's not mh' shit from reviewers.
It's not my fault you don't seem to understand the painfully obvious reason people are drawing comparisons to Monster Hunter. Do you want some more? It's also a handheld game. It also has huge mechanical issues fanboys are eager to overlook.
Agreed. It's one thing to say it's inspired by certain games but your whole review looses all value when you go "this isn't good because it's not a carbon copy of Monster Hunter" when if it was they'd still cry about it. Judge it on its own merits. Literally all the reviews I've read have started with it being a fun game then going on a tangent about how it's not Monster Hunter. It's not fair to the game or the devs to directly compare it. If that were the case Dishonored should be terrible purely for the fact it's a bad thief clone...but that didn't happen. It's why I don't trust overly opinionated reviews.
If you are somewhat reconsidering getting it because of any reviews that are lower than expected or just low. " Then you need understand that these reviews consist of less than 0.0001 of the gaming population. Which means it doesn't matter.
I wonder: just how many terrible games will it take before Final Fantasy fans will own up to the fact that Square-Enix has no real idea what they're doing anymore?
