What is the best Mega Man franchise?
No that honor goes to the Mega Man X series
Agreed. However, I do love me some MM Legends :)
MM Vanilla is my 1/2nd franchise ever. 8 being one of my favs Never tried the Battle Networks but always wanted to play them.
It's good but my personal favorite would have to be the Battle Network series.
Its good but not the best.. It couldve grown much larger had capcom kept it alive but its not a long enough series to be the best.. OG MM & MMX series are both the best.. Both had many great entries and a few not so great but more offerings of greatness..
Battle Network series for the GBA
Tied along with Mega Man X series. Both Legends and X series are awesome in their own way.
Original Mega Man series. By far. Bosses, stages, style.
Original>X>BN>Legends . I'm sure this question is a generational question more than anything atleast for me.
Well, it has the benefit that the three games were good and the series didn't run long enough to become stale. But I would still have to go with the original series. Mega Man 2 still holds up as one of the best platformers ever.
I love Megaman Legends and The misadventures of tron bonne but Megaman X is the best.
Mega Man x then Mega Man Zero both are amazing series.
Megaman Legends blew my mind back in 1999 when I first got it. I had played nothing like it and the only thing to compare it to at the time was Ocarina of time. Truth by told I had played this before OOT and It just amazed me and still did. I was used to 2D gaming with the genesis/gameboy/snes but MML changed all of that. You could go anywhere you wanted WHEN you felt like it. The dungeons were interconnected. And Megaman was in 3D!. The game gave you a fair challenge and as it went on didn't hold your hand like a baby. You had to be a man and go in the ruins alone. The ruins and enemies got more and more intimating. It was also during a time where people didn't care all that much about a story outside of a few RPG games but at the time I didn't play them I just played side scrollers. Simply blew my mind. I cared about the world the game was set in. For the first time I was motivated by both gameplay and story instead of just gameplay. And then MML2 blew my mind again. EVERYTHING was improved. 16 years later I still love it. Megaman Legends is really special to me.
Mega Man Legends will remain in a special place in my memories of my childhood. The way it captivated me was unlike no game of today.
more like the only good 3d megaman game, while the best megaman is the MMx series.
