Now Is The Perfect Time To Quit Destiny

The Verge

There’s no better time than now to walk away from Destiny. The sci-fi console shooter has entered the midpoint phase of its second year, and it’s clear it would take nothing short of a cosmic-sized update — something we're almost positive developer Bungie won't deliver for quite a while — to revitalize the game.

I quit Destiny about 2 months after it's release. I've been clean ever since.

Lol, I quit after the week the original game launched in 2014. Most overhyped and repetitive AAA game this gen so far.

I get that it can be considered repetitive, but how can you say it's any more repetitive than call of duty or halo or uncharted? In my opinion, it has a much larger variety of content with strikes, raids, daily missions, and then all of the PvP variety (including timed events).

I dunno, just seems like everyone thinks it's really cool to hate destiny. It was an ambitious first step by bungie, yeah it's far from perfect, but I've never logged so many hours in a game before this one. (Although, I've moved on to other games in the past month since the content has dried up, but I'm glad for a break). I'm really satisfied with the amount of playtime I got out of destiny for the money. It almost feels like a ripoff when I drop $60 bucks on other games that don't have near the same amount/variety of content but somehow those games aren't bashed. To each their own though.

I'm hoping the division is able to pull it off and be even better than destiny.

I disagree. The best time to quit was before spending cash on TTK.

Ive been playing from day 1 but the state of PVP is disgraceful!

Trying to get skill based connections with people from all over the world as opposed to having an internet based connection speed to match your own, has completely ruined all hope I have for it until they announce a major update.

Problem is there is nothing new PVP wise to take it's place until Overwatch or Battleborn comes out. Sigh!

Enjoyed TTK up until Destiny wanted to milk its content to keep people playing by making it unobtainable. That and realizing the fact they are done with expansions and instead doing stupid little events. There is nothing to look forward to.
