The Division Maxed Out PC Screenshots Look Completely Different From Ubisoft's 4K PC Screenshots

PC version maxed out looks nowhere as good as the 4K bullshots by Ubisoft.

Lol.

Makes sense. Even if those 4k screenshots were straight from the game without any doctoring, the game will not look like that the vast majority of the time. Typical bullshots to begin with.

E3 downgrade aside, the PC version by all accounts seems to be a proper PC version, rather than a port.

It's honestly stupid of Ubisoft to release bullshots like that. Unless they're holding something back for release, they're going to get called out for it, and it's going to become another big thing that they could have avoided.

cartoonx13057d ago

while i agree release game will never look like e3, but no way a beta be representation of final game. it may not be all tht better but at least texture quality will be better in final release.

Game4Next3057d ago (Edited 3057d ago )

Realism is not about filling the game with so much polygons, it's about Lighting the whole picture. Ubisoft probably didn't pay attention on the whole picture.

nveenio3057d ago

It frustrates me when people say things get better after alpha or beta. It's only true for what you don't see promoted. The promoted stuff almost always gets "optimized", which includes reducing texture quality, polygon count, and draw distance and LOD. In my twenty years of making games as a contract programmer, I have never seen a game get better looking. Only better performance. And sometimes not even that. The only team I've ever seen do a good job of disguising optimization is Naughty Dog.

kraenk123057d ago (Edited 3057d ago )

I really seems as if they simply did't learn from their past mistakes. How stupid can they be?! On the other side I doubt even the Beta will have 4K textures included.

nX3057d ago

Their photoshop talent simply outshines their game developers. Might be a good time to sue Ubisoft after that dude won against Redbull for similar marketing swindles.

Bdub20003057d ago

Of course UBISOFT didn't learn their lesson! Everyone is still buying their games!!

Why in the world would they stop Bullshotting gamers if there is no consequence?!?!

Meltic3057d ago

These pics is horseshit. The PC version is not a port. Its a propper PC version and it will look awesome !!!! almost all pre alph builds thats been showed in e3's looks better graphically. And Changes over the developerment cycle.

masterfox3057d ago (Edited 3057d ago )

strong denial this comment is :D

nX3057d ago

Can't wait for you to meet reality.

OhMyGandhi3057d ago

...It's Ubisoft.
Are you really that surprised?

rocketpanda3057d ago

Meet the reality of what? That the shots aren't bullshots? Because they would never do that.

So what about the pre alpha build looking great at E3. Of course it will look good at E3. The same reason why watchdog at e3 looked phenomenal, but the final build was average in comparison

It's been a calling card of theirs since this generation started. I just don't get why they're trying so hard to impress someone. Just make the damn game. This fake first presentation thing is beyond reason at this point.

SnotyTheRocket3057d ago

Come on, the image quality here is horse shit. Wait until the actual beta.

kraenk123057d ago (Edited 3057d ago )

I even doubt the Beta will include 4K textures tbh.
On the other hand I don't think it looks bad. It looks great tbh...just hard to understand why Ubisoft would publish those Bullshots in the first place after all the controversies of the past.

Bimkoblerutso3057d ago

Well that's the whole point, isn't it? It might not really even matter to gamers that it's not the prettiest game in the world, but Ubisoft has to make it a "thing" and call much more attention to it than if they were just more transparent about the whole process.

Now instead of gamers just thinking they didn't make the best looking game ever created, gamers think Ubisoft has tried to lie their way into a sale...which they have....on many occasions.

kraenk123057d ago

@Bimko

I don't know..l game for 30 years and developers have always been doing stuff like this...I simply hardly believe those early showings to be real. Guess that's why it doesn't bother that much. Yet one would think especially Ubisoft would be interested in bettering their reputation.

corroios3057d ago

So what kind of machine was ubisoft using when they show that trailer at e3????

It must be some kind of alien tech PC...

Meltic3057d ago

No. Wont need any badass hardware to run a preview build that's 3-4 min long.

kraenk123057d ago

It's a difference if you pack all that detail into a closed environment to show off or to build and simulate a whole city around it with a huge amount of online players.

KwietStorm_BLM3057d ago

Being that what they originally showed was static and very controlled, they can get away with a lot of extra bells and whistles. They did the same thing with Watch Dogs and Rainbow Six. They can't be allowed to keep doing this. It's disrespectful to consistently lie to consumers.

FrostXVenom3057d ago

It looks worse than the watchdogs. Those PC screenshots look like last gen console graphics...I hope the final pc version will be better than this....

Aenea3057d ago

Last gen console graphics? You're funny!

FrostXVenom3057d ago

Yeah no particle effects,no environmental details and bad that lighting...
Look at the last screenshot..Max Payne 3 looked better than that....

mad-dog3057d ago

PC guys often seem to think Bullshots are just Maxed out PC shots. That is not the case. it doesn't mean your powerful pc is weak, it means ubi is telling a lie.

I understand you would like your PC to have graphics like bullshots but to anyone with eyes the difference is clear.

Best to accept and enjoy the allready unbeatable quality on PC.
You're not getting better than maxed out PC.

Ofcourse there might be slight improvementscompared to the Beta, but don't epect much. It Will look like a game. Not a movie.

Stop Forcing Multiplayer Into Single Player Games

TIM WHITE WRITES: "Multiplayer or single player? Developers, you can do both, just not willy-nilly."

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183425d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot425d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno425d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic425d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman425d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon424d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
