For a turtle that would be entertaining to watch.

Love my Vita, gets me to N4G. The mrs and me are playing Freedom Wars and I now have to buy a new battery for mine from the past 3 years of hella usage. I love this handheld and an understatement to say it's shame where this thing is ending up.

NeckBone1531d ago

Kinda funny too see actually... I still got people defending the Wii U over here, constantly shitting on my Vita. If they wanna call the VITA a failure then they gotta finally admit the Wii U is a failure.

ZeekQuattro1533d ago

I'd be shocked if Sony produces a new hanheld after the Vita.

ABizzel11533d ago

There's no point in a handheld for them, they're better off simply making a PS Tablet, like the NVIDIA Shield. The brand will help sell it, and they can refresh the hardware every 2 - 3 years, and stay technologically ahead of curve, as well as have a niche lock on that gaming tablet market, thanks to hopefully better Remote Play (near Wii U parity), PS+, PS emulation for PS1, PS2, PSP, PSV, PSNow, and more than likely running Android.

NeckBone1531d ago

I think hardcore VITA owners would prefer tactile button inputs as opposed to a tablet of any sort. Especially if remote play and emulation is involved.

ABizzel11531d ago

And what's stopping them from adding dedicated controls to said tablet.

:( I love my vita. It's been good to me. But man I hate seeing the numbers like this. Kills hope for a successor

LAWSON721533d ago (Edited 1533d ago )

Double post smh

LAWSON721533d ago

The remote play is a nice option, and I will probably take advantage of it when grinding in a RPG (wish I could use it for PS3 so much). The library is damn good despite being so small. IMO it and the Wii U share a lot in common both have great libraries and their potential was ignored due to poor sales.

kneon1533d ago

What is the point of comparing these two products? They are in different market segments.

Metallox1533d ago

It's a battle of the giants.

NeckBone1531d ago (Edited 1531d ago )

@kneon Both are video game consoles? One is considered a massive failure and the other one isn't.

kneon1531d ago

But as I said they are in different market segments so the comparison is meaningless.

NeckBone1531d ago

I wouldn't say the comparison is meaningless. If you're comparing console vs mobile gaming, comparing 2 market "failures" with each other. Also both systems have an incredible hardcore base. Interesting to see that people are buying them but why are they buying them?

Not so irrelevant

XisThatKid1530d ago

Tell That to all the ninty Die hards that lve to try spout out "NO greatest system seller of all time is the DS not PS2" Anything can be compared in perspective bottom line just because your vision is limited don't make everyone as narrow minded as you.
They are close in sales and apart of the videogame industry and can be compared.
