Whenever The Nintendo NX Does Arrive, It Should Keep The Name

But seriously, all we known about the system is the codename, and everything else is rumor and speculation, as evidenced yesterday by a hyper-speculative market research survey that many sites were reporting as gospel.

Nope tradition dictates that it's going to change.

Project Reality became the Nintendo 64.
Dolphin became the GameCube.
Revolution became the Wii.
Project Cafe became the Wii U.

Dot Matrix Game became the Game Boy.
Project Atlantis became the Game Boy Advance.
Nitro became the DS.
CTR became the 3DS.

It's only inevitable that NX will change.

traditions were made to be broken at some point. Personally I think the NX is a great name.

Obviously past history dictates that most code names get dropped in favour of something else, but that doesn't mean it HAS to happen this time.

In all seriousness, though; it's gonna change.
It pretty much has to. They never keep code names, even when they sound cool. [Seriously, Revolution? The Wii U should have kept that code name. Might have helped quite a bit]

I'm still partial to the idea of a cylindrical-shaped consoled called "The Nintendo Power Tower".
There's just something so weird about it that I can't help but think of it as...wonderful.8)

It's almost definitely short for Nintendo Experience, a spin on common dev term UX which is short for User Experience.

had this idea for the wiiU but hey might as well push it to the NX. think it should be called the U-nes. Ultimate Nintendo.......you know the rest. As well the U can signify U as well most likely will be backwards compatible to the WiiU. Also throwing in the word Nes would give it some nostalgia and we all know gamers eat that shit up like how republicans eat up donald trumps BS

NX is a great name that takes gamers back to N64. I mean, Nintendo will sell out the stores with NX as the name day 1. Why change it??

I am absolutely loving my Wii U and can't wait for Zelda and Star Fox. But new Ninty hardware at E3 has me giddy.

When do you guys think Zelda Wii U is coming? Before E3 or later this year? Some rumors are saying end of May. Like Splatoon and Mario Kart 8.
