I don't think anyone was surprised that Nintendo announced Twilight Princess HD, and because of that, people also shouldn't be surprised that a Wii U - possibly NX? - title would have amiibo compatibility. Unlike other games that add minor things to the game - except perhaps Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam - it seems like amiibo in Twilight Princess HD will actually add more than just a costume (rumored). It appears as if this potential leak has led to some Internet outrage.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has set a new record by selling over 3 million units within 24 hours, tripling the PlayStation 4’s previous launch day sales.
Its crazy that it's both the highest selling console on day 1 and people can walk into a store and buy it with no pre order
Unlike the Switch 2 , the Playstation 4 was not sold on the same day in most regions.
Company skipped last year's event.
Not surprising at all.
I mean, they´ll be releasing a new console in a few weeks.
Nintendo has announced its financial results for the full fiscal year, alongside an update to Nintendo Switch shipments and more data, including a prediction for Switch 2 hardware and software.
well, the switch 2 has two holidays in the us, thanksgiving and Christmas.
so id say its fairly possible. the rest of the world will also grab them
Switch and Switch are a different kettle of fish. A sell out at launch by the diehards, strong sales, then the non diehards will be put off by the £75 ($99) games, including the stupid download cards which are topping £65 ($85). Not rocket science to work out how the Switch 2 is going to pan out. The PS5 has sold well, but games at £70, sales have been low. As game sales drop, prices will rise. Sony could knock out all their games for £40 and still make a killing selling more games. There's no denying that a gaming crash is looming.
Not paying for something that's not worth more than the price it was advertised, which is $449 - $499.
I'm excited about having a new dungeon. But then again I have the amiibo bundle preordered.
I can see how some people would get upset as it creates a sort of paywall, something Nintendo is not really known for doing.
However, this extra dungeon wasn't included in the original Twilight Princess. For those people who just buy the game, they are still getting an HD version of Twilight Princess with no missing content.
This additional content is simply an extra bonus for those people who purchase the amiibo.
Considering the package for amiibo + game should retail for more than the regular game on its own, there shouldn't really be any problems with it because we are paying for that content.
So confirming all HD verision of TP have amibo in the beginning and then having as an actual definite version later on release!?
It just doesn't make sense. Fans were going crazy for the Wolf Link amiibo the moment it was announced, as you mentioned the thing sold out right away. It was long after that we got this rumor of an amiibo locked dungeon, but why? Clearly people don't need an incentive to get crazy about amiibo
I appreciate that Nintendo wants to appeal to those who want more amiibo functionality, but that functionality shouldn't be exclusive to those who have the physical product.
People buying amiibo don't care about their functionalities often, so locking big stuff behind them does nothing but alienate non-amiibo hunters.
The rumor was you only save dungeon completion to the amiibo and bring it to Zelda WiiU. By the rumor it's in the game for anyone.
