How virtual reality will push PCs to their limit

I'm quite curious about how scalable VR games will be. The minimum requirement is a 970, but unlike a typical PC game that minimum will have to provide a really good framerate at the maximum resolution. Is there much room to grow? Will VR games look much better if we throw multiple top-end cards at them?

That minimum requirement of a 970 is simply a standard of measuring how far developers can go without breaking the VR experience. It's sorta like a console now with fixed specs.

I just hope the developers interpretation of minimum requirement of 970 doesn't mean at low settings, which technically is still meeting the requirements. This would give rigs with a higher-end GPU more room to enhance the graphics though.
