Wow... That looks amazing. Really looking forward to this game. Probably going to buy it for 2 platforms.

Ashunderfire863395d ago

I will get this for PC and PS4 day one! For PC I got to see those awesome graphics like how it was when Doom 3 was release with graphics compared to Xbox and PS2. It literally blow any of those system out of the water.

Jag-T10003395d ago (Edited 3395d ago )

You gonna buy the two versions of the game? Sure you are. In that case I'm gonna buy three versions. There I win.

DLConspiracy3394d ago

@Jag

It's not that uncommon. I have bought games on console first then PC and vice versa.

Bahamut3394d ago

@DLConspiracy

I bought GTA5 for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4. But, I mean, that might be because I'm retarded... but, it happened... !!!

tee_bag2423394d ago

Why on earth would you buy 2 copies of this game on different systems. I can understand if it was a good multi-player game and wanting to play with friends... But this is Doom. Seriously wtf?

DLConspiracy3394d ago

@tee

Just because you don't like Doom or its multiplayer doesn't mean everyone doesnt.

Ashunderfire863394d ago

Jag-T1000

So what if I buy this game on both platforms have friends on both to play with and one you could use even more mods. Its not like I will do that for every game lol! The guy above DLConspiracy said the same thing, yet he doesnt get a backlash with 9 disagrees? Not trying to start a scene, where people like you are critical of bullcrap smhs!

DOOM looked stunning (visually) even at e3, the game looks beyond awesome. The combat is what i was expecting from Gears 4 but didn't get (in the e3 demo). I'm excited for the sp and the snap map looks terrific, old school DOOM with stunning new grfx.

badz1493394d ago

these look eerily similar to Unreal Engine gfx. any chance this new engine is just a tweaked UE3?

showtimefolks3394d ago

when i originally played rage i was like wow now we will get fallout games looking this good.

i had no interest in doom but since e3 it's been on my radar and i am very excited to play it.

i know it's not a narrative driven game but will it atleast try to have a decent story or should i just look forward to awesome gameplay

IamTylerDurden13394d ago

It'll be a kick azz ride but do not expect any sort of deep meaningful narrative. Gameplay is king in DOOM.

I played Rage on 360 and it still looks better than Fallout 4, imagine if Fallout looked that good? If Rage used the iD Tech engine maybe Fallout could? Fallout 4 is awesome but the framerate and textures are putrid.

showtimefolks3394d ago

i agree about fallout 4. it should have used the updated rage engine

and i can't wait for doom. finally a game that is going for pure fun

tee_bag2423394d ago

@DLConspiracy

Believe me, I love Doom. I'm just trying to understand why you'd buy 2 copies..?
Really... Why?

DLConspiracy3394d ago

Because I want to play with both of my friends on both platforms. PC is where my biggest collection is . I usually get them on both if I love them.

tee_bag2423394d ago

Fair enough. As I mentioned above, I get that. I have done that myself with a few titles.

it's freaking amazing I wish the used in other games such as The Evil Within and Fallout 4

DarkOcelet3395d ago

Considering The Evil Within sold over 3 million copies, its almost a certainty that we will get a sequel.

Seriously, the Engine is what hampered the game. The Evil Within 2 should use this one.

Vitaguy753395d ago (Edited 3395d ago )

Evil within was a great game hampered by bad graphics imo.

IamTylerDurden13395d ago

Evil Within is getting a sequel, and it deserves it, it sold at least 4m with digital. The grfx were not bad for a year old cross-gen game, The Evil Within was pretty good imo. It was atmospheric, challenging, and had solid combat and survival gameplay.

Tbh though, i felt like the game would've been better had the gameplay been a little more like the opening level with the tention of running/hiding from the butcher.

_-EDMIX-_3394d ago

Agreed. One of the best survival horror titles created in the last 10 years, an amazing title!

Can't wait til they announce a sequel! I need some Evil Within 2 in my life lol

IamTylerDurden13395d ago

Imagine Fallout 4 in unreal 4, Frostbite 3, id tech 6 (if they could do it), even CryEngine? That was the only thing Fallout 4 was missing, hence why the grfx sucked and it was buggy.

IamTylerDurden13394d ago

Disagree? How could anyone argue against the fact that the engine in Fallout 4 is a dinosaur and responsible for much of the poor visuals and how it runs? Basically it's the Gamebryo engine that they're still using and it's pathetic. Look how much better DAI looked in Frostbite.

bamillington3395d ago

i tried the beta and it looked real good and fast, it felt like i'd been and done it all before..i think it was very similar to quake arena but i guess there are alot of new gamers out there

DLConspiracy3395d ago

The MP was very much like Quake, but it's certainly welcome in my book. The SP game is going to be much more different.

DrumBeat3394d ago

Watch out. PC gamers kinda feel like this is THEIR game, because, you know, it began on PC. Playing on another platform is sacrilege.

I'll probably get it on PS4 as well. I don't have a nice enough rig, and even if I did, I'd probably get it on PS4 to play with my PS4 friends.

VJGenova3394d ago

As a PC enthusiast, I can tell you I don't give the slightest f*ck about what system someone else enjoys a game on. Let me name some more recent examples of games that started on pc and are now on consoles:

1. Witcher
2. Diablo
3. Wolfenstein

Also, Doom 3 was on console, as was Doom 64.

I am however looking forward to enjoying Gears of War And Killer Instinct on my PC.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Gamingsince198173d ago

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that

John Romero is such a rad, down to earth guy. A few of my Portuguese game dev buds got this opportunity a few weeks ago at the DevGamm event in Lisbon! He turned down dinner w a lot more higher profile game developers to rather have dinner with this small, more unknown indie dev team called Redcatpig instead. It shows you where his heart is!...
