Only Single Player’s Game of the Year for 2015

OnlySP: So here we are. After a full month and dozens upon dozens of games, we’re finally ready to talk about what our game of the year was for 2015. Reports have varied depending on who you ask, but I think this was a spectacular year for games with both big-budget developers and little indie developers alike pulling out all the stops and giving us some of the most intense and enjoyable gaming experiences of recent memory. That makes this choice all the harder for most of us…but we’ll do our best!

Whether you agree or disagree with what the best game of the year was, all the games below have achieved something great this year – be it in narration or art direction or mechanical innovation or whatever – and deserve to be lauded as the créme de la créme of 2015.

I found Life is Strange to have annoying characters, a boring storyline and be tedious to work through.

Can't imagine why anyone picked that game instead of Witcher 3.

Finding a character annoying is subjective, however, the script was awfully bad. I had lots of cringeworthy moments while listening to them talk.

Fallout 4. That's my favourite. Crawl out through to fallout, baby. Rocket 69, rocket 69.

Anything but The Witcher 3 would've been more original. Life is Strange, Fallout 4, The Order, Soma, Until Dawn or Dying Light.

Metal Gear Solid V and Xenoblade Chronicles X are my top 2 games of the year. The scope on both games were completely mind blowing.

Single player will always be superior to multiplayer. That feeling of immersion you get from a good SP game is untouched so far by even the best of the best multiplayer games.
