I imagine that Bioware would have known for a while that the guy was leaving, and would have made arrangements for a suitable replacement. At least I hope this is the case. I just hope this doesn't impact the development of Mass Effect Andromeda. It's definately my most anticipated game of 2016.

ScaReCrow903470d ago

Don't really care for bioware anymore. I'm clearly not their target audience anymore.

Their focus is on weak storytelling and being "inclusive" just for the sake of it.

TFJWM3470d ago

Is bioware a shadow of their former selves? Yes.

Do they still put out some of the best AAA games? Yes...

ScaReCrow903467d ago

Nope. Their last mass effect sucked. Their last Dragon age open world empty areas and placeholder chracters sucked compared to the depth that was Merrill and fenris and in fact the entire cast of Dragon age 2 is far more interesting then all the character in Dragon age 3.

They even screwed up the qunari and turned him into a softie.

Bioware sucks and unless they prove me wrong with the next mass effect then I'll stop paying any attention to those attention whores who love to conform to societies current beliefs.

I hate it how being inclusive has done so much damage to creativity and freedom of expression.

wellard3469d ago

I don't know, i live in hope that they take the new mass effect back to its roots. I have so many fond memories from the first 2 games that i cant help but want Andromeda to be good. I'm definitely keeping a close eye on this game.

I've loved everything from BioWare post Mass Effect 1 except Dragon Age: Origins.

noxeven3469d ago

I really doesn't phase me since the game isn't out and its not like we're dealing with a mass effect 3 situation. It's a fresh start so whatever I guess

Notice we don't have a million trolling comments about "Oh my god, the game must be in trouble! What's going on at Bioware?!"

Console zealotry is ruining our favorite pasttime.

Ten Years Later - Still Going Strong: Dying Light: Retouched Update Releasing June 26

Hey Survivors! Tymon here, your favorite Dying Light Franchise Director.

It's been an absolutely wild month here at Techland! We're in the thick of what I'm calling the "Summer of Dying Light," delivering updates and big news across all three Dying Light games. Just a few weeks ago, we dropped the first gameplay for Dying Light: The Beast, revealed its release date, and kicked off pre-orders (if you haven't seen it, check out my last dev blog). I'm incredibly proud of what we're building with The Beast - it’s the culmination of more than 10 years of experience in open-world survival horror!

But here's the thing: we never forget where we came from. That's why, this week, we're not just looking forward - we're rolling out significant updates for both the original Dying Light and Dying Light 2: Stay Human. We promised to support our games for a long time, and we're committed to continuing that support, right through and beyond the launch of Dying Light: The Beast.

Because Nintendo makes great games.

Well it doesn’t surprise me. As much money as they make and how they value their employees. It’s a great company in that regard.

Good guy Nintendo
Microsoft and Sony are the bad guys

drivxr3h ago

Well, when your games remain full price many years after release.

And you make profit off of outdated hardware.

I would be shocked if they couldn't afford to retain their staff.

lodossrage46m ago(Edited 45m ago)

I didn't want to say anything but drivxr is right.

Nintendo always sells at a profit because they purposely use tech that's always 5 or more years behind. And it's also true their games hardly ever get price decreases.

Don't get me wrong, it's great they kept most of their workforce, but making a point to have your tech specs behind everyone else affords that luxury.

Diablo Immortal is still a thing? Ewww

What an out of season April's Fools joke

Christopher14h ago

It's quite popular on mobile since there isn't a lot of competition for games of its type that aren't even less engaging and just 'stare at your phone' games. Not to say Immortal is good, but for mobile, it's better than most.
