Neil writes "In some parts of the world, Frizzy has recently dropped onto the Xbox One Games Store. It looks a delightful little title and so we just had to find out more. The best way of doing that? Grab the main guy behind the game…so we did!"

Could be a fun little game if launched at a decent price.

12 Xbox One games delisted from Microsoft Store, cannot be redownloaded

While it could simply be a mistake or an error, a dozen games have recently been delisted from the Microsoft Store, with their store pages completely removed, leaving users unable to download games they've paid for.

Could this be a momentous occasion?

Momentous? Of losing games?

Petebloodyonion1337d ago

Better be an error from MS part if not Well that would be a hell of a crappy move and a sure way to get some well-deserved bad press.

EvertonFC1337d ago

Don't agree with this but the list of games I've never heard of?

Welshy1337d ago (Edited 1337d ago )

The stature of the games is irrelevant. The point is that it sets a bad precedent of a digital only game you paid for going away forever.

Swap the names of these games with a more high profile game and there would be uproar. This is why physical is and always will be king, can't take those away from you.

Edit in advance of anticipated replies:
"*insert game here* didn't get a physical release", I know not all games get a physical release, I'm speaking to the wider topic of the not so great future of an online only future.

"They can still revoke access to content on your discs via software", true but this would require malice from publishers to go out of their way to deliberately block physical games and would rightly cause bad PR.

Profchaos1337d ago

This is true however physical is no.longer the saviour it used to be.

A large number of switch games and increasingly more PS4,5 X1,xsx games are coming incomplete meaning that if the servers are unavailable the physical media is useless far cry 6 for example only has the X1 version of the game on disc not the xsx.

Spyro only has the first game on the disc and a very large quantity of switch games are incomplete and require a download.

It's concerning for the future and in many circumstances the only way to garuntee preservation will be the homebrew scene.

Welshy1337d ago

This is true, it's definitely shitty when they pull that move and I forgot to take it into consideration.

In general I'll still try to go physical where I can, especially for AAA or single player games. If it's a "live service" it's kind of redundant though, it's more 'when' than 'if' they pull the plug on those and noone is accessing them again.

At least most games pre-PS4 are mostly complete products straight off a disc, so those games will be preserved better than the games of the future will.

BrainSyphoned1337d ago

So a chunk of the indie games we bought during the summer of fun events on the 360 are now gone. I had five of these.

neutralgamer19921337d ago

This is why I will never support digital only. Too many games have license issues and especially music contracts are limited so if he given the choice I will buy physical

Marvel ultimate alliance games are delisted too which were very good games so unless you bought them already or have them on physical there is no way to buy them

EvertonFC1337d ago

Physical ain't much different, most the game is not even on the disk these days and the games are generally broken messes until the day 1 patch?

AmUnRa1337d ago

Yeah, and then download the patch and your done. Most patches are done in the first year. You have them on your harddrive ore SSD pop the game in and you can play them. Even after years, so whats the problem? The only games that i download are indygames that i like, cous alot of tthem have no disk version, the rest i always buy in a gameshop, no isues for me.

jeromeface1336d ago

lol, like anyone stores game patches on their hd's for years @amurnra..
