Tom Clancy's The Division Developer Shares Game Update, New Screens

IGN has gone up with three new screenshots of The Division, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s upcoming online RPG shooter.

Additionally, the outlet has a mini-interview with associate creative director Julian Gerighty, who discusses what makes The Division an RPG, whether there’s an end to the game’s story, dynamic weather and time of day, and more.

The Division is due out on March 8 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC

Kinda expected a swift response from Ubisoft as an attempt to quell any "damage" made by the leaked gameplay.

Khaotic3471d ago

I dont know what you mean by damage. My self and almost every other person that played the alpha really enjoyed it.

Kyosuke_Sanada3471d ago (Edited 3471d ago )

That's why I placed it in quotation marks because so far most people I've heard from or talked to actually enjoyed what was shown or played (Myself included but may still wait and see after launch of their plans for the future of the game.)

Ubisoft is just playing it safe and trying to cover their bases.

I don't know.. that AI looked pretty bad in the leaked footage.

The AI can be relentless at times, especially in the dark zone. They come at you pretty hard. Havent had an issue that sticks out in my mind. I would like to see an upgrade to the visuals

i put in a good 20 hours in the Alpha, it's a blast.... great game, the AI gets better, as you move away from the starting area, as within all games, the beginning is your tutorial area. I had some heated battles with the AI. so looking forwards for the game, i got the season pass, i dont see being a 1 year game for them, they will probably follow the path of Destiny, and make it a 2-3 year game.

Artemidorus3471d ago

Sounds like the gameplay is good on this. Anyone know when the beta is coming?

amargotv3471d ago

at E3 they said Early 2016, but no specific month. i think Mid January would make sense, because they want to stress test the networks and be sure it's running well, and give themselves a buffer in case of issues, because if they delay the game 1 more time, there will be anarchy lol.

didnt get a chance to see the leaked footage but i am looking forward to playing the beta :)

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno806d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic806d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman806d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon806d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
