Short Pause: "With another year of gaming in the books, it's time to look back on some of the great experiences that 2015 had to offer. My five favorite games of 2015 may surprise you, or they may not. Either way, these are the titles that I enjoyed most this year, in no particular order."
Nintendo Switch games that haven't received patches are still getting performance and loading boosts across the board on Switch 2.
A Xenoblade Chronicles PC port has been listed by Microsoft as an officially supported Microsoft Game Assist title.
Hmmm interesting. Hopefully true, liking the slowly but surely partnership between the big 3. Just imagine all the xenoblade games officially on pc. I think mcsft going 3rd party but still making consoles fits them.
Who would have thought that giving games away for free would be so lucrative?
I really wish I had time to play all of these games, it sucks when you have those silly "real life" obligations to attend to first. There were some brilliant games released in 2015 that could take you over 100+ hours to complete everything, and those are the titles that are so scary to commit to if you have an interest in multiple games throughout the year. Hopefully I can get through some of them and start the rest in early 2016. That's a pretty solid list though and an overall great year for games.
I will never finish The Witcher 3 as well. Don't feel bad your not the only one. I am about half way through the game according to other players. Haven't touched the DLC yet and I have the season pass as well along with the C.E. hardcover Strategy Guide. I have alot invested in this one game.
The main reason why I haven't been into TW3 is simple though: Bloodborne
I of course purchased Bloodborne at release and then there after in May I got TW3. I just can't handle the weak combat system TW3 has. Compaired to Bloodborne, its maybe a 2/10. 10 being what Bloodborne scores. Bloodborne has the best combat system I've ever seen on a game ever. So TW3 didn't really stand a chance in that category. The next gripe I have is too much dialog in TW3. Like 118 hours too much. You also can collect 1,589,265 items/consumables, I only use four of them. Way too many items.
The map on TW3 was good looking at times, but Bloodborne and the detail From Software brings with there level design and its details to characters and lore and then makes it all connect is one of a kind.
To be perfectly honost, I needed TW3 in 2014, not 2015. I think I would have played it more- pre Bloodborne, then what I'm getting done now. TW3 is also the same reason I never purchased Fallout 4. Didn't want to be in the same situation I'm in with TW3. Liking the game but not finishing it. I also made the same mistake with MGSV:PP. Probably will never finish that game either. The map is so dull on it though. It doesn't bother me as much.
Everyone's list is different. And we should respect everyone's personal list.
It was overall a fantastic year imo.
For ME PERSONALLY ... I would say my top 5 were.
5. Resident Evil Revelations 2
4. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 (please don't kill me internet, I know CoD is the game people love to hate)
3. Metal Gear Solid V
2. Splatoon
1. Bloodborne
