GS: Some time ago Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain, the latest entry of the series, was going to receive another update during December introducing new features and content. Full details on the update had yet to be confirmed but today the publisher has finally detailed in full what's going to be added to Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain with the December update.
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
The concept art ending as DLC?
Also, online FOB mode kinda lost appeal already, got really boring when the only real fun is getting invaded for having nuke or invading guy with nuke.
Think that problem with FOB is lack of ability to get new content. After game is complete your driven to purchase MB coins for FOB's which enable you to obtain enough staff to create said weapons, and even when you do its not based off a reasonable timer some of these things take days to build, or seconds if your willing to pay in MB coins.
Is this a great game yes, if given more time do I think it could've been shear perfection yes. The lack of NPC's civilians in this world aside makes this great game too black and white, its just your army versus theirs in a giant sand box. If there was some faction element in the game with different gorilla groups could've made this game a morale based free-for-all with you to choose sides. Its part of what makes the wars in the Middle East so complex.
Just my thoughts what does the N4G crowd think
I have to be honest. I hate MGS 5. I've beat every other mainline game (nothing on vita) at least 3 times each and loved every second of it. But 5 was just so repetitive, bland and plain boring. Don't get me started on Mother base. yikes.
I just don't understand how the game got a 10 from so many places. The gameplay was flawless no doubt. But after going to the SAME area for the 10th time to do the SAME thing I was like "I'm out"
What am I missing about this game that makes it a 10?? Especially considering I'm a MGS vet and appreciate Hideo Kojimas work immensely. Heck my lvl 60 Warlock was even named Hideo Kojima in WoW lol.
I deleted my save right before they released the fix for Quiet to return...which, killed any want I had to keep playing without all that work I put into it.
I'll pop into this game again down the line when I actually feel like diving back in. Too soon...I'm still angry >_<
Lots of stuff, noticed the Challenge Tasks and Online deployment yesterday +few others, pretty neat :). I try play other games when have so many unfinished, but I keep returning to play TPP ;D, so good.
Also need to start Japanese VA playthrough :).
