It's hard to argue with what EA Canada has done with hockey during the Xbox 360's tenure. Not only have EACA's NHL simulators been entertaining on the 360, but they've also pushed the innovation envelope in general within the sports genre. Independent puck/player physics, full analog controls and startlingly realistic visuals are just a few of the highlights of EACA's NHL HD run.
What does NHL 09 have in store for hockey nuts when it hits the shelves this September? TeamXbox sat down with NHL 09's producer Sean Ramjagsingh for a breakdown of some of the big features that are poised to make EACA's up-and-comer a Hart Trophy shoe-in.
Alex DS. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "With all this hockey hype in the air, we figured, what better time to look back at the best hockey video games to ever hit the ice."

Mark from GamersFTW asks what's the worst experience you've had playing video games?
Brings back memories of uni days :) Did once punch a wall I got so frustrated. Was either that or destroy a controller. Fortunately I didn't break anything, but unfortunately it was a solid brick wall and my knuckles hurt like s*** afterwards!
Everyone has felt a little bit furious when they were hit by a blue shell in Mario Kart.
Never injured myself but I do remember crying once because the video game character wouldnt do what I wanted it too... Arrrgghhh the frustration!
I actually threw a controller at my brother once for constantly button bashing and not giving me a chance to fight back during a Tekken match. God I was such a bad loser.
Mario Kart is a big culprit. Never thrown anything in anger, but caused massive arguments between my best friend and I. I also hurt myself spinning around on a computer chair in victory and falling backwards.
Natalya in Goldeneye I never wanted to hurt someone so much.
And for pure, unbridled fury... CALL OF DUTY being verbally abused by 11 year olds is not my idea of gaming bliss.
am not a fan of sports. Growing up as a “hardcore” gamer, sports never really appealed to me, especially watching them. While I understand the rules and regulations of a large majority of sports, they just don’t have the same draw to me as they do to others. Why would I freak out about the achievements of other people? So when it comes to playing a game based on activities that I don’t really watch? No thank you. Why write an article about a sports game that is five years old? Because, this small game has lead to me to becoming a screaming fanatic, if only for a short while.
