Wonder what happened with the art direction, while the underwater shots are still decent, the colors for the surface areas are totally brownish grey, with only the soldiers uniforms having a blueish look. It used to be nice and colorful.

Progress, not regress is what we need!

Gorgon5724d ago

Thanks, but I'll pass this piece of US propaganda.

deeznuts5724d ago

To whom would you pass it to? Did you puff it at least twice first?

Oh you mean pass on it. I gotcha

;)

wow, Gorgon it seems morganfell just exposed your anti-American hate, which led you too quickly to believe that the US government is behind yet another mind altering videogame created to make us all mindless killers. End sarcasm.=

Not anti-american hate, but hate for hypocrisy, which is quite different. But I guess you can't discern the difference. But I didn't know it was a russian game, for that I thank you for the info. I guess those devs are after some big US sales. Sad.

morganfell5723d ago

Now you are attacking the US. I am pegging you as one of those sad sack jealous Canadians. Most Canadians kick ass but you aren't one of them. Maybe they are aiming for European sales since it is a larger market.

Regardless of what you say it is obvious you think the game is dumb and therefore a fit for Americans. It doesn't take a genius to realize it isn't hypocrisy you despise - since you employ that trait - but rather Americans. Thanks for the insight into your character and making me aware you are an individual to be ignored.

Gorgon5723d ago

??? Where did I attack the US???

Well, interpret it the way you want. As I said, you really can't discern the diference so I'm not even going to bother explaining. I think my above post is pretty clear on what I dislike about this game, no matter who is developing it.

And by the way, I'm european, not Canadian.

NowGamer: U-Wars Preview

A few issues back games took a look at Hydrophobia, the upcoming water-based action-adventure from newly formed studio Dark Energy Digital. Its focus is on allowing water to run free within the game's environments, utilising it as an element that can be advantageous to the player as a tool in their arsenal, or a destructive force that can easily overcome those that don't mind its power.

Hydrophobia isn't out until next year, but it's already shaping up to be something different at the very least; the utmost effort put into making each torrent of water or subtle ripple as convincing and lifelike as possible. U-Wars – a contraction that stands for the rather unimaginative Underwater Wars – is similarly making water its focal feature. However, while Dark Energy Digital has looked for new ways to make water a challenging game design element and complex puzzle-solving tool, Russian Studio Biart has done little other than use it as a flimsy excuse for originality.
