The Witcher 3 Riddle That Players Couldn’t Quite Solve

Gaunter O’Dimm, one of the stars of The Witcher 3’s expansion Heart of Stone, is a mysterious dude. Turns out he’s also a sneaky one, hidden so well in the background of the game that even its biggest fans couldn’t find him.

The Witcher 3 continues to be full of surprises. Heart of Stone was excellent from beginning to end. It really show cases CDPR's brilliant character development. I loved O' Dimm's final riddle though (which is what I thought this articvle was about), and that whole last level was awesome - the only thing that brought it down slightly was the timer. I cant wait for Blood and Wine!

I thought I knew what a great game was... until I played the Witcher 3. The bar has been raised.

It's so good that I have to stay away from it... I finished the Heart of Stone expansion, but stopped playing because I get so absorbed and lose sense of time. I'm a father, a college student, have a part time job, a wife and I try to exercise...

But when I'm playing the Witcher 3, I'm Geralt of Rivia... and none of those other things.

The worst thing about Heart of Stone is there's only one expansion left. If their expansions are this amazing then for god's sake make more.

This game is huge, soooooo much to do I can spend hours just playing the card game. But unfortunately I don't have the hand eye memory cognitive skills to do all the things this guy can do every fight is a brutal pathetic beat down lol. After running into these creatures called drowners near a bank of water and was thoroughly raped by at least five of them I conceded defeat and admitted to myself I cannot play a game of this caliber and decided to stick with ESO. Kudos to those of you who rock this game and finish it.

It's not a game of hand eye coordination, more so a game of combat patience.

Packs of enemies in this game are lethal and you have to always approach those fights with extreme pacing.

Typically fights with packs of enemies have environmental effects you can exploit for area wide damage too.

Dude, go for the "just story" level difficulty. The Witcher3's strongest point is the story, and the characters you meet during those quests. It's well worth it. I have only dipped my toes into ESO, but in all honesty it doesn't come close to The Witcher 3... except maybe in the - "its an MMO" - category.

GrimDragon3473d ago

Thx bro ill give it a shot. I really like this game maybe Iam playing it all wrong and need more patience. It's just a bit intimidating with all the stuff witcher has at his disposal and I don't even have the crossbow yet to add to the list of death dealing possibilities lol. But I'll slow down and try to learn the style of this game get revenge on those dam drowners lol.

ArchangelMike3473d ago

Just remember.. drowners hate fire (igni), and they hate bombs (grapeshot) as well... ;)

Maxor3473d ago

ESO is decent MMO but Witcher 3 is like your own personal MMO, and Witcher 3 doesn't demand Bloodborne like twitch skills unless you play on max difficulty. In fact normal is so easy that it'll bore you to tears if you bother to apply all of your Witcher skills.
