I don't know how to comment on these things without sounding like an elitist douche, but there is MUCH better sound out there in the price range if people start looking at solutions that shy away from the whole..."GAMERZ!! EXTREME! HEADSETS!!!" market.

For one, all this 7.1 surround sound crap is nothing but a marketing ploy. Specialized software and mixing plays a MUCH bigger role in producing 3D sound than a few more crappy tiny drivers can hope to achieve.

Bro, u're kinda missing the point....
A gaming headset should come in with a mic (preferably detachable).
Also these RIG 500E come with 2 (two) sets of earphones - vented ones and noise canceling ones.
Another plus is that they are highly customizable to the preferences of the user. None of the ones you've listed above come even close.
