After covering Trails in the Sky First Chapter as his first video for the site, Darren MacPhail returns to finish the story with another review.
Originally released in Japan in 2006, Trails in the Sky Second Chapter was finally officially announced for localization back in 2013 by XSEED Games. Carpe Fulgur collaborated with the translation effort due to the game's exceptionally large script.
Finally, Second Chapter has released in English. It was a long time coming, but well worth the wait.

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC is a game that meshes the feeling of a traditional JRPG, such as the long-winded exposition, with some of the modern systems of more contemporary JRPGs. It still feels a little bit like a game out of time but that’s understandable given that the game was originally released in 2006.
Not that most of that matters when the underlying game is enjoyable like Trails. A strategic and deep combat system and an interesting story are the best selling points of the game. These aspects make for an easily recommendable game. Just don’t go in expecting a short or easy game experience.
The long awaited translation to the second part of Trails in the Sky, XSeed brings over Nihon Falcom's cult classic, completing the story that began in 2011 here in the states! Was it worth the four year wait to see where this epic adventure leads to next? Connor takes a look at it from a newcomer's perspective.
GS:" Earlier this week publisher XSEED has revealed that The Legend Of Heroes Trails Of Cold Steel is going to be released this holiday season in North America, without saying more about the release of another entry of the series which was supposed to be released this Summer, Trails in the Sky Second Chapter. A few days ago XSEED Localization Specialist Thomas Lipshultz revealed that Trails in the Sky Second Chapter was still planned to release before Trails Of Cold Steel but it seems like things won't be going as planned."
