Nintendo Enthusiast: In late 2007, Renegade Kid released one of my favorite Nintendo DS games to retailers: Dementium. A horror-themed first person shooter does not sound like a title that would have worked on the Nintendo DS, but it did. Renegade Kid really pushed the technical limits of the handheld, and made a very solid title. So, suffice to say, when Dementium Remastered was announced, I was thrilled because one of my favorite DS experiences was getting a new coat of paint on a much more powerful platform. So how does Dementium Remastered fare, 8 years after its original release?
Reviews 2 Go just finished up the 3DS remake of Dementium: The Ward. Here are their final thoughts:
"Dementium Remastered is every bit as creepy as the original game was on the DS. While the repetitive environments and wonky controls don’t do the game any favors, the improvements and new features make it a worthy purchase for horror fans. "
An abandoned hospital? Blood on the walls? Zombie monsters? Creepy little girls? Mad doctors? Never seen any of that before!
Nintendojo: "Dementium Remastered reminds me of some of Nintendo’s more recent remakes in that it doesn’t go too far trying to reinvent the wheel."
Awesome, will have check this one out.
