you can pretty much confirm a fall 2016 release. even square enix have said so, they will release more info about a release date in march 2016

Yea they said before 2017 so I'm guessing holiday 2016. And KH3 a few months later in 2017.

I think kingdom Hearts may 2017, they will release kingdom Hearts 2.9 before 3

Square have made a habit out of remastering

would be my first FF game. i don't like turned based combat system. I hope all future FF games have real time combat. also hoping that FF7 goes the same real time route

Sounds like they should just spen d the rest of the time just tightened up gameplay. Fix bugs and tighten graphics. Shouldn't have to back change things to delay it. Then release this year coming

I just really hope the open world section does not kill it for me . I can not stand open world games like witcher 3 and fallout . If the open world is like the demo but section off I'll be a happy camper

Everybody knows by now that Square takes forever with these projects sigh...I mean it was announced a very long time ago. I wish most developers would do what Bethesda did with the Fallout 4 announcement and came out with their game like 5 months later.

As far as I know, this is the only game which seems to have taken an inordinate amount of time. I'm not sure how that equates to a trend of SE taking forever to make these kinds of games. Most of the delay on FFXV was due to the changes in what it was supposed to be...a couple times over in fact.

Someone could argue Kingdom Hearts I suppose, but that didn't go into production until rather recently.

I think square enix recognizes that this is a sink or swim scenario in the next installment of final fantasy. Final fantasy 13 was a crappy trilogy that no one wanted (the majority of ff fans, the ones that buy the games) so when they release the ff15 demo and are actually engaging us and hearing our feedback and making choices based on that actively and continuing to let us test and give feedback on the updated demos spells quality. With the gameplay mechanics nailed down all we can hope for now is a stellar story.
