Serena Nelson writes: " Backers were expecting the game to be released early in Janaury, but Raven Sword Industries has plainly declared that this will not be the case. The game "...will be released as soon as it is ready and not before then..." unfortunately, we have no idea when that is."
Fearing that Project Orion could too easily be mistaken for another title in the crowded indie market, Raven Sword has changed the name to Arkin.
Gary Stott writes: "Project Orion by Raven Sword Industries, the 'first-person space combat experience featuring epic large-scale battles, an in-depth story, and extensive ship customization' (their words, not mine), is set to be released in two parts. The first part will be released on the project's initial launch date of January 8th, 2016, with the second being released later on down the line."
Serena Nelson writes: "It's very rare to see a game release on or near the original estimated release date, so it should come as to no surprise that the first person space combat game Project Orion is no exception. The original date was supposed to be this month, August 2015, but due to a higher workload than expected it's had to be pushed back in order to get it finished."
