Fallout 4's blurry-vision bug has no cure, so hang on to all your save files

A rather nasty, game-breaking bug in Fallout 4 underlines why you should never delete any save files in a Bethesda Softworks role-playing game if you can ever help it.

marioJP873497d ago

In my 70 hours of total play time on PC, I have not experienced this one time.

Mega243497d ago

Neither have I, but I did encounter the night vision bug, really useful during night time, not so much during the day. Even worse if its day and foggy.

Jmanzare3497d ago

Never experienced this. I probably save every 5 minutes so I wouldn't even have a problem

Ozmoses3497d ago (Edited 3497d ago )

I'm the same way.. I constantly save on over the file with the numbers and I just let the auto-saves do whatever they do.

I always save before I steal stuff (in case I get caught) and other things of that nature aswell, you never know when something could go wrong. haha

I experienced what id call the "squished in first person view" where my gun was even closer in and my shoulder or arm was bent in and filled up alot of the screen, dont know how that happened but had to reload to get out of it.

mogwaii3497d ago

A game with this many glaring flaws and game breaking bugs surely cannot be deserving of goty.

Aghashie3497d ago

For a game that big is really hard to find and kill all be bugs before release. What really matter is studio fixing the issues so game can be played the way is intended.

So, for now just hope developer takes quick action into this.

LamerTamer3497d ago (Edited 3497d ago )

Maybe it will get GOTY but it will really mean Glitch of The Year.

mogwaii3497d ago

Yet other games would get the shit ripped out of them for the same issues, bethesda fanboy logic.

wsoutlaw873497d ago

I haven't seen one game breaking bug and am having a lot a fun with the game. Just because you read a lot about bugs, doesn't mean everyone is seeing a lot of bugs. The witcher is probably my goty still but blooborne and fallout are very close.

Jmanzare3497d ago

If you expected a glitch free Bethesda game you're crazy

I've lost npcs, quests, got stuck a ton of times, dumbest Ai partners ever, broken quests,etc... I stopped playing it for now, waiting for patches because having npcs teleporting to roof tops and losing quests is not what I call fun!!

wsoutlaw873497d ago

I haven't had any of those problems and if you get far enough from a companion the just appear near you. If you a losing them you should check you other settlements, they are around somewhere.

Grap3497d ago

dude i roamed the entire boston to see where is my f$%# dogmeat is.. and he is still not to be found.

wsoutlaw873494d ago

Not Boston, just your settlements.

I think i made the mistake of giving Mama Murphy too many chems. Because I could never get my settlement past 98% happiness, and it even cost me the Platinum.

Fallout 4 on Switch 2 seems inevitable, but what about Starfield?

A Fallout 4 Nintendo Switch 2 port seems like an inevitability, but what about other Bethesda RPGs like Starfield.

I think all games will end up on switch from Xbox. MS has embraced going to other platforms now if games aren't doing well on Nintendo MS may be more selective in the future

On playstation they have been quite successful

anast76d ago

I'm not sure too many people want to play Starfield.

Profchaos76d ago

Phils all but confirmed they are going in hard with the switch 2

TheColbertinator76d ago

All are welcome to Switch 2. Microsoft Games Studios is interested in long term profits and market value not petty fanboy thoughts.

Starfield is actually a RPG. Bethesda hasn't done that in a while.

GhostScholar178d ago

People acted like starfield was so less interesting than fallout and drastically different, but I call bs on that. Both are decent games, but they are both filled with the appearance of things to do and items to interact with but 99 percent are just there to be there with no significance. Fallout has better character work but they are both sort of illusions that they’re vast.

Studio has been going downhill since Skyrim. Every following game gets dumbed down more than the previous. I'll be shocked if Elder Scrolls VI even has dialogue options.

anast178d ago

Fallout 4 was bad, real bad. Starfield might even be a better RPG.

trez1082177d ago

Fallout 4 wasn’t a great fallout game per se but real bad? I don’t know maybe I’m a little biased because I replied it not long ago and had fun with it.
