These games have lengthy development periods and that's for the sake of quality.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that the company senses "much, much higher anticipation" for GTA6 compared to GTA5. Unfortunately, the company is also discussing a "robust" cost reduction program that sounds really ominous.
GTA 6 could benefit from generative AI in these ways, says Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.
GTA7 will have the AI stuff, not happening yet with GTA6 imo, not with what was mentioned about building a in house AI which they haven't started with yet.
The world they build for GTA6 won't look as good visually as Spiderman 2, it's just not physically possible, AI or not.
Where is everyone who was telling me AI is going to make gaming worse in the other thread?
I sure hope so because the enemy AI and companion A.I sucked in Starfield
With recent rumors swirling around the potential for a successor to the Nintendo Switch, many fans and developers have been concerned about a possible lack of backward compatibility for such a console. And while the verdict hasn't quite been delivered on whether or not a "Switch 2" would have the feature, one major publisher doesn't seem too concerned about the prospect: Take-Two Interactive.
I disagree, with lots of people having big digital game libraries it's more of a must have than ever before, if the big guns are gonna kep pushing digital I think BC is the least we can expect.
But of course this guy will say this when rockstar are about to release a no effort port of RDR at a higher orice than it should be.
Funny because Take Two's upcoming Red Dead Redemption PS4 port would be completely redundant without the PS5's backwards compatibility
Another reason I enjoy pc. I can play games from any generation without having to hope console makers give a necessary feature like bc. It is 100% a needed feature and there’s many ps4 games that could get fps/res boost especially with new games now needing longer dev cycles.
Mark my word holiday 2017 will see new red dead. I really dunno why the industry takes the silents rout for their projects, user involvment is critical for software development.
So new red dead huh? How about that pc port first? (Played it on 360 but didn't finish it)
I mean, both gta and red dead are already big enough and count as community events.
GTA V is the best gta and the 5th best selling game of all time.
As soon as companys start talking about their marketing events over their actual games. You know immediately their on a downwards spiral. Prepare for dumbed down, rushed, dull games heading your way.
