Hewitt talks new soccer MMO: gameplay, local servers and more

Joseph Hewitt, lead designer of Interzone Futebol, an upcoming soccer MMO, has revealed key details about the game in an exclusive interview with PALGN.

The emphasis of the game, according to Hewitt, is split between traditional MMO socialisation and soccer gameplay. Players will take each other on in tournaments and self-made clubs where each player on the pitch, including the keeper is controlled by a real human player. But there is also a strong emphasis on socialisation. At launch in Brazil the game will feature an "idealised version of Ipanema. There's a couple of city blocks there, there's the beach, and there's stuff to do, you know, running around in the social world."
